Kelly, I was just like you. Listen, I’m sharing this from experience. You see it as good because of how we’re conditioned growing up. There are a lot of fond memories tied to celebrating Christmas growing up so I get it 100%. In Islam we believe that when you give up something for the sake of Allah He replaces it with something better. When you celebrate Eid with your fellow Muslims you won’t miss Christmas. I can’t explain it, but the desire to celebrate Christmas totally went away and I couldn’t be happier. May Allah guide you 🤲🏾

let us try to understand these couple, i've known so many people who can't easily abandon their culture despite knowing the truth and presented with facts. After all u should be able to drop the presents on the table, but why is it a tradition or ritual to drop the gifts directly under the tree. Think about it, u said u will still celebrate Christmas right, whereas the Bible and Quran never said so, forgive me my sister and brother u a committing a major sin When ur Bible say 1. Anything created by God or by man, that u dressing it with gold, silver, red and so on is alone an idol (gods) so u have a Christmas tree is bad on it's own 2. Guys he’s learning about Islam , don’t push him away. Let him celebrate Christmas atleast he said he’s not worshipping an idol which means he only believes in one god. Let him take it step by step. As i said before, this is what differentiates Muslims and Christians. When given a prohibition, Muslims do not look for excuses to do it. What is forbidden is forbidden. There may be some Muslims who break certain laws, but they do so with the awareness that it is not allowed in Islam, and they do not seek reasons to justify what Allah has prohibited for them. Christmas is not just originally pagan but it has been used to promote consumerism. Originally christmas wasn't that big of a deal, easter was the real big holiday.Coca Cola took Santa Claus, originally Saint Nicholas or Sinterklaas in dutch, which was originally portrayed as a fat dutch sailor in green and modelled him in red and white (the colors of coca cola) and turned it into this massive shopping holiday. As the saying goes "Christianity began in Palestine as a fellowship, and then moved to Greece and became a philosophy. Afterward, it moved on to Rome and became an institution and then to Europe where it became a culture. Finally it settled in America where it has become an enterprise".

Hearing their response from the video proves just how tough of a pill it is to swallow once people realize the truth behind what they’ve always celebrated. If they’re reacting like this over the origins of the Christmas tree I don’t know how their reaction would be if they were to learn about how demonic the other Christmas traditions came from such as putting stockings by the fireplace or even how Santa originated. I grew up celebrating Christmas, and it’s something I learned to move away from even before I became Muslim. Yes, it was tough to find out what you were told growing up wasn’t true, just like others grow up to find out what they believed in was a lie. I also believe another conception that people fall into is believing that celebrating Christmas is “cultural.” That way the system can still manipulate people into accepting it and you’re just considered weird for not doing so.
