It's not a crime to not like a movie, I didn't see you calling Matt a racist homophobe, or any of the typical buzz words. You reviewed the movie without attacking his character or beliefs, which is the opposite of what a paid leftist reviewer would do. Adam gave a fair review according to what he actually thought of the movie, he didn't call it a hot pile of garbage because it offended his political views, and he didn't call it the greatest thing that's ever been because it affirmed his views. It is the weirdest biopic I've ever seen, and I've yet to see a review that solely considers the merits of the film itself without their review being marred by their opinion (one way or the other) of the subject of the film. (But it is objectively so bizarre, I think you'll have a lot to sink your teeth into. As a preview of the strange choices the director made, he pairs the triumph of the Berlin Wall being torn down with an instrumental version of "Sweet Child of Mine." Like, wtf does that song have to do with destroying a symbol [and instrument] of oppression?)

Ive been a subscriber and fan! For a long time. I think it was...5 years ago now that I figured you were left of me Adam. Oh noes! Considering I have close personal friends left of me and we are still close...I think it would be a little insane to judge a reviewer I personally like because we have different views on something we generally can do little about. Im not a fan of the term "grifter" because its supposed to be a term for someone selling something they dont really believe in, and even if oppose the overall thrust of DEI, I think they are commited to their cause, just as Matt is to his. As for your review, I thought it was very good, but like many people, I dont really want to put my opinion out there (I made one in the first video about grifting and that turned into a fight) and I personally enjoyed the film so I didn't really say anything...and I really wish I had now. Anyway, I enjoyed this more in depth review as well, as usual, very informative and enjoyable!

I appreciate the non biased review, I was going into this video wondering which side you were going to take. Definitely going to give this movie a shot. But the black coffee thing is real. I went to a coffee shop in Seattle and got yelled at by a white women with green hair that said I was racist for saying I wanted my coffee black 😂 I thought I was being pranked at first but quickly realized the green goblin was very serious.

I'm a Republican but know many Democrats who are unsettled by this new immigration policy that lets people simply cross the border and gives them a free ride to major cities, where they can wait for a court hearing that will likely never happen. In WIAW, Matt let the people talk at length about their crazy ideas, which was a very effective way to expose the absurdity of them. In Am I Racist, this isn't done for as long, or as often, which was a missed opportunity. I also preferred the WIAW format where Matt didn't pretend to be someone he wasn't. I understand why he went "undercover" in AIR, but he shouldn't have acted with us, the viewers, as if we didn't know that this was a ruse. He should have been like (to the audience) I'm going to go undercover to expose these people, not pretend that he actually wanted to go on his antiracist journey. In terms of humor, I think it was similar, probably more overt in AIR. I wish they didn't release so many key funny moments prior to the release.

One of my favorite moments in the movie is in the Race to Dinner scene where they are asked to raise thier hands if they are racist and the black woman raises it instinctively before putting it down while saying, "I can't be racist". I also thought the Robin Deangelo scene was great, with her questioning how weird it was to give money to the crew member, and then being talked into giving him money. If you throw in the scene at the bookstore and the traumatized girl wracked with guilt for telling someone to turn off Despacito because it was too loud, you have all the best parts in the movie.

Why didn’t you say “black” when you talked about the beginning of the film? That’s what Matt Walsh said about the coffee order, not “dark” as you claimed. Your inability to use the word black is exactly the point Walsh is addressing in the film. White folks are so paranoid of being labeled a racist they even fear using the word “black.” You’re either missing the point entirely or you’re afraid of the actual points he’s making. I’m of Hispanic descent and I loved the film because it exposes how ridiculously off the rails our society has gone as it relates to race. It’s become so ridiculous that it’s laughable. I review a TON of films on this channel and have not been impressed with the MCU for years. As far as the production of the movie. Do I seriously need to grab some crayons and color this in for you? Having a bar lit up ahead of time with multiple camera angles and clearly staged shots doesn't scream believable to me. A single cam, following Walsh into the bar and then organically moving within the space would have been more effective. I said nothing about the picture quality. I know cameras are very nice now.
