I don't care if it's Ragnar's song, it's still wonderful. When I heard it, it was the first time for years that I got the magic feeling of hearing a perfect song - one that hits all the sweet spots in my brain. It's catchy, but then also has all the little prog things, which melody- and rhythm-wise make it interesting and not obvious. Also, this version sounds much better than the original by Sign. Well done Ragnar, Daniel, and whoever else made this. PS. Reasons is amazing as well. Welcome back, PoS.

I have a love hate relationship with this song. whenever I listen to it (can't refrain myself from doing it, amazing sound) my inner voice keeps saying, "man, you cheated on her and now trying to find excuses saying you are not here, I couldn't control myself, you don't own me and all the blah blah. just break up dude. obviously, you feel suffocated so do something for yourself and finish it!" this toxic mysterious man bullshit just drives me insane. yet, I still love the song.

In my opinion he talks about a struggle that some man have at some point in their lives, specially if they are middly successful. I don't think is toxic. Is a real struggle. And I love the way he wrote it, just real, raw as is an uncomfortable truth.

Daniel spoke about it in his Facebook page. Even though Rockers Don't Bathe was never released as part of an official album, Ragnar loves that song. So he wanted to rework it and release it officially with PoS. After all, he is part of the band now. They thought it would be a great song for this album, and thus it was remade with different ending and lyrics.

It's a re-recording of the song "Rockers Don't Bathe" from Ragnar's band "Sign". So I don't know if you can call it "this" Pain of Salvation, as this is not Daniel's song (unless he had some co-writing credit back when the song was made?)

Daniel is getting buried in this song. A song originally composed by Ragnar. Whose title is "Meaningless". I read this song as Daniel's way to tell about his decision reggarding PoS lineup. "He needs somethig of his own, something he can control" and if guilt comes with that decision, than it's fine. Absolute masterpiece.
