Expressing emotions should be part of education and parenting.. Lots of trauma could be avoided by doing/ learning that. Sun has finally arrived in my little village and makes all stuff so much easier.. Have a lovely week Dan and everyone ❤

Thanks Dan once again. There's one thing I would add from my experience. Sometimes it is necessary to be heard so the "always in private" can be itself a judgement as it can feel that the emotions need to be "hidden" or are "shameful". It doesn't mean the three options are incorrect, they are absolutely on track. But since the repressed emotions were always developed "in a relationship" it is very healing to learn to express them "in a relationship" and not alone in the bathroom. So..... I would add a fourth option: expressing them responsibly with a trusted person who can listen. I have personally helped people do this and experienced directly how healing it was for the one expressing their emotion and being fully heard and not alone with them as they were in the past. I have been on both sides, expressing my emotions responsibly and listening compassionately. Just thought I would share my experience with emotions and hopefully it is useful to someone.

@@sherrilawrence662 please keep wishing for someone to appear with whom you will feel safe to share with. Often, our past experiences taint our current perception and we see everyone as not able to just listen. I'm quite sure there is ALREADY someone in your entourage who is a good listener. One thing you can do once you find that person is tell them you would like them to just listen and not provide solutions or cut you off and talk about themselves (as people often do). This clearly sets the parameters of the conversation and incites the person to use their listening skills as well as making you feel safe. May you find once again that vibrant self, it's still there! Just hidden behind all you need to share.

The book The One Thing Holding You Back by Raphael Cushnir teaches you the process. Emotions are physical. Once you learn how to let your emotions "have their say" by physically processing them, you will be free. The recorded book has a chime timer that was helpful. After learning this process I applied it to a very bad car accident. I processed my emotions while waiting for the ambulance, because, I didn't want to take that trauma home with me. By the time the ambulance got there, all emotions were processed, all trauma gone, and I have never had any residual fears. I was so happy that I learned this process because you can use it in real time to things that are causing you emotional pain.

@@dkaur454 if you are in a stressful situation, acknowledge your feelings and then dismiss them. Don't hold onto the stress, don't let the situation control your mood. You decide how it would be best to handle the situation and do that. You don't have to be upset because things are not going well. I hope this helps. I'm just trying my best like the rest of us.

I just got back from an amazing weekend in London with my friend. I had ZERO symptoms whilst away and just focusing on living. I return home and it's anxiety and insomnia town. SO WEIRD! TMS at its finest I reckon! Dan, could you do a video on that? I always love love love sunny days, unfortunately not too many of them in Scotland! Re expressing emotions, journaling is really helping me with that, almost feels like a purge.

That is actually fantastic! Clear proof of TMS. Brain is just stuck in a rut, so to speak. Brain made associations about your normal routine being a certain way. But it doesn't have to be that way. Just try not to be negatively emotional or upset about it, just laugh a little and say I know what's going on. Visualizing you day going well, upon waking can be a huge help to making daily life better. ❤❤

In order to get through a very traumatic crisis i had to suppress my emotions. I had to keep it all together or i would have fell apart and lose the battle. Now i learned that emotions are wrong - a catatalyst to defeat. When i made it through the scary event i was still trying to keep myself together hypervigelent hyperactive wide awake at night looking out for danger - there was no room for emotions. 10x action to over overcome the threat - non stop vigilance. The body mind snd emotions need to rest and feel safe.

”Unless you feel what you know, your feelings are of little value and are transitory, being merely reactions within themselves.” (Marshall Vian Summers, Secrets from Heaven) This has been my mantra while re-learning to feel and accept my emotions. Another great daily. Alot of it makes sense. Very helpful. Patience, practice and persistent is key. Still working on it 2 months into your program and even though I seem to go backwards some days, overall I seem to have more days where the stress/ fear levels are less and the pain is less. It takes time to teach the brain new lessons especially after a lifetime of thinking other ways. I wish everyone success in using Dan's program. Thanks

Hi Dan. Thank you so much for all your great videos. I have over 60 years avoided going to movies and in past 10-15 years isolated myself to avoid contact with people for being “ fake” and pretending all is well etc when inside it’s a different story like jealousy, anger, comparison, criticism etc. Wonder if anyone can relate to this as causing PDP in body due to learned repressed emotions since childhood.

Dear Dan, I have a very important question.. Because I'm stuck! I did the TMS test, and I got a score of 43 ... I have been suffering from all kinds of physical complaints for 6 years ... dizziness, spinning, brain-frog, concentration problems, pains in the legs, coughing, feeling of stuck mucus, fears, panic attacks, stress etc ... but doctors find nothing during all kinds of examinations ... the only thing they have been able to determine is: high blood pressure ... has also been examined by a cardiologist, and it is not from a medical cause .. the doctors say that this is due to stress, fears etc.. now I know that I have various traumas ... and emotions of sadness and intense suppressed anger, injustice etc ... the fact is ... if I allow these emotions and feel ... that I immediately notice a lot of relief or even total disappearance in all my physical symptoms ... but afterwards ... a few hours later or the day after ... the physical complaints and symptoms become terribly bad ... so, if I allow emotions ... I get relief ... but afterwards they are back but then much worse... and then I don't dare to allow the emotions for a while... because the complaints get worse afterwards... But, then the physical complaints and symptoms start to get worse again... I release emotions to relieve the complaints... which clearly helps as I have already written... but then it is worse again afterwards, this vicious circle just keeps going on.. this has been like this daily for 6 years now... I don't know what to do with these emotions that cause the physical complaints and vice versa 😫😞 . can you give me some advice? thanks for your answer 🙏💖
