I have some trouble relating to success stories where they are shrugging 350 lbs. I am super happy for him but it’s almost hard to believe he could have ever been where so many of us are. Anyway today I did five bicep curls with a 2 lb weight. It’s hard to say “yay me” after his shrugs darn it, but yay me!

My back pain started in 2021 when I finished work at 59. When working, I was in a high-pressure job and working long hours but so happy. I'm sure that having too much time to think is the reason for my pain... it all makes sense. Early retirement isn't always the answer. Yes, I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis of the spine... but how long have I had it? I need to rewire my brain, and these stories are inspirational. I just need to master this.

I was thinking about the question that Dan answered but that’s not me, my pain never ends and never stops.It’s funny how we always compare ourselves to other people and their stories. No story is alike.My neurologist of many years after I told her about Sarno, so your pain will never go away you’ve had it too many years your brain is to set in its ways with your pain pathway it’s impossible to change. She’s told me that before.

Also the optimism you give to others who have been feeling stuck for many years, knowing you are feeling better now after 30+ years of feeling the same way, is also an incredible message of hope. Many loving blessings to you both.💜

Dan and Steve, thank you for this video. I discovered Sarno a year ago and Dan somewhere in October; it was mind-blowing how much effect it had on my backpains (well over 20 years). Now unfortunately I'm having a major set back for a month and get can't back on track. Very frustrating and am trying to hang on on what helped so well before. I'm getting ready to join the group coaching hoping it will get me to where I want to be. Steve, how is your wife's backpain? Cheers and thanks again.

Censoring words because they might trigger some people only reinforces the trigger. Just let people describe their story the way it really was rather than toning it down and making it sound less horrific than it really was because that helps no one. I used to belong to an online emetophobia support group and they didn't allow us to spell words like "vomit" out in full. We had to use the abbreviation *v .... That just reinforced that vomiting is so scary and dangerous that you can't even read or write the word. Nobody in that group ever recovered. My phobia actually got worse there because it never occurred to me that just the word could trigger anyone... but when I was told it does, it started to trigger me too.

Thank you so much for all the success stories, Dan. I'm 23, been sick for +5 years, now I know it's all TMS. However, I'm noticing that when I stopped eating bread (gluten) The OCD, intrusive thoughts, low self esteem, social anxiety, hiperactivity, and overthinking go away. Problem is going gluten free males me feel fearful... I feel overwhelmed as I can't be sure gluten is the culprit for my mental issues. Do you think that I should eat gluten while telling my brain is okay and that it is not the cause of my mental issues? or should I avoid it? I really appreciate you. ❤

Hi its Steve from the video just reading all these comments. I do not eat ANY grains for the same reasons. As a chemical engineer, I know what is sprayed onto the wheat and there is no way I will eat it. Important for you to realize that there is not one single carbohydrate that is essential to life. You do not need them. So if you do not eat carbs there is no reason to be scared.

Hi Dan, sometimes I talk with people that have had chronic pain for a while. It seems like TMS, but they are more like alpha male personality. They dont seem to fear pain, they are more likely to push through it. They are not emotional type, more like repressing if anything. They dont seem to fear, but still get constant pain, and even acute crisis. What do you think is going on in this type of people? If they dont fear pain, then what Is the answer for them?
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
It's still the subconscious brains perception of danger. While consciously they may not fear the pain, the brain still sounds the warning if they think there is something wrong with their body. Watch my fast start playlist to understand the cause of pain and what to do about it. DansFastStart.com

Hi Dan do you have any success stories about tinnitus or sound sensitivity from virus ?
@westnewwest43252 ай бұрын
Its me Steve from the video. I did not mention, but I get Tinnitus often, because for me its PDP. The first time was for three weeks and then I finally realized it was PDP and as soon as I made the link it went away, in about a week. Now I get it and it lasts usually about 5 seconds or so. I always stop, take inentory on what is stressful in my life at the time, make the connection, and it goes away in seconds. Hope that helps you.

Did Steve have a bulged disc or disc herniation? I have heard that the disc material congeals as we age and therefore the pain reduces in the golden years. I’m just wondering if that happens for herniations also?

Not sure if I mentioned in the interview, I had xrays and a chiropractor in my 20s who told me that I had all that bulged disc and pinched nerve stuff. He really scared me....he told me that if I did not get back there for immediate action then I would continue to decline. I got scared and then mad. I told him to go 'to hell' and then I got back to my work as we were very busy on an interesting project. I see now that I distracted myself from the PDP and that was what really helped me move on for the time being. Just before I found Sarno, I had a chirporactor friend who told me the Golden Years comment that you refer to here. That really struck me. Pain would go away as we start to wear out? It made me think alot. Then I found Sarno and it all made sense. I am 57 years old now and my wife and I are really starting to live our lives with less family stress as our daughter is grown, successful and all but on her own with an excellent future. We have less stress.....ergo we have less pain

I’m finding it compelling, but I want to ask a question. Did you ever go to a really good orthopedic specialist who could truly possibly help you. Sometimes there are minimally invasive procedures that help or even surgery has helped people resolve certain problems, but it sounds like he never really went to a doctor except for the x-ray. So far anyway. I haven’t gotten to the end.
