Once you get accustomed to a large canvas you will see that they can be so much more fun and freeing. Large brushes, Loose block-ins, and generally they will turn out better than your "smalls" because I think most people (like myself), put a bit more planning into a bigger project. I’ve been painting for many years, but between raising 9 kids and working full time did not get much done, and it was usually in almost panic mode because of time. Retired now, and still tend to approach a canvas in a rush. I have known about the grid, but never used it. He is so correct that the eye can misplace things. The grid looks like it it’s worth the time to use on a large canvas. Never thought of using such a large knife! I’m sure this has inspired many people to try it.

Hi from the Breaks Virginia. GridPainter is a good app for your phone. It will grid up your photo and let you print out the grid on the photo. Very handy to use.
