Hi Phil, another one late to the party BUT Im seriously considering (its just arrived) this (Adams Graphene) for one of my own cars so huge thanks, there doesnt appear to be any Gotcha's.. Between you me & the lamp post Im sure I saw Bruce Banner come to the surface, probably not a good idea to mention T-Rex arms & or "so easy even a woman could do it" unless of course your dentist has raised his prices for tooth extraction.. Came out great. The UV light is best in dark lighting like on those lower panels. Your lights washed it out which is normal. You are right if one is familiar with coatings then the light is not needed. It is a cool feature for sure meant for the newbies. One of the easiest coatings to work with.

I think anymore than 2 coats is overkill. I agree that 2 is more for filling the gaps incase you missed but I’m a believer that the 2nd layer actually adds more protection - durability on the other hand is a different conversation all together, its more clickbait than concrete science for customers lol

As I am only going to use it in my car or someone in the family who wants to give the painting a better treatment, do you think the orange and black pads would be enough? It would be a medium-cut pad (orange) and another for finishing, polishing, waxing, sealant ( the black). As I'm just an enthusiast, I don't want to buy many types of pads. Thanks again for your help.

So I'm about to apply my first legit coating. The Adam's Graphene Advanced. Can you clay bar down the road after the coating is on the vehicle or will it ruin it? This stuff claims 9 years. If I got 5 I'd be happy but what do you do for paint care during that time? Just chemical Decon with no mechanical or polishing at all? I do a chemical every 6 months and a clay bar yearly. Thanks in advance
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Hi. For ceramic coatings you should need to clay bar at all. You can do chemical decon once a year only if needed. And if you ever need to polish that would definitely weaken or compromise the coating. So just washing it properly and using a topper every few months is best.

Most important part for any success is Follow The Instruction.... 2 coats ... 2 not 1 ... 2... Manufacturer Recommendation....
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
We have experienced that 1 coat for most coatings is sufficient. I have talked to many Detailer’s and companies about this and they recommend 2 coats for the public so they get full coverage and also so they use up the product. I’m sure you may have your reasons and agreements for why you choose to do what you do. But I have experienced 1 coat of both EXOv3 and Cquartz uk3.0 last the full 2 years with proper maintenance. So with our experience we don’t just do things because someone or a company says so. But Thanks anyway. “Success is what one makes it to be”
