This video answers some questions about doing paint enhancements and one step corrections with the rotary polisher. Again...at some point, I recommend adding this "scalpel" to your detailing arsenal. This video talks about avoiding haze and buffer trails. A rotary offers greater cutting speed, which is very handy when you are either short in time, need to achieve much result on a large surface or have a very badly damaged surface to correct. However, this comes with a price. The increased cutting power makes it easier to cut more then is needed. If you are un-experienced with a rotary, it is easy to polish away more paint then is needed, increasing the risk of burning through the paintwork. This is a very costly mistake to make. The rotary doesn’t have a forced or free rotation movement, such as the DA. Eliminating the risk of making the machine stop moving. This can sometimes be useful in small spaces. Because the machine doesn’t have any “throw”, it can be more easy to work very close to an edge or sharp corner.

LOVE seeing the rotary in use!!! I'll repeat what I've said in the past: it is the manual-transmission vehicle of polishers IMO- a steeper learning curve but you have COMPLETE control over the power applied and is therefore superior under adverse conditions.

These rotary videos, to me, are awesome, Brian. I started out using a rotary on panels at home, before I found work at a detailing shop, where we used DAs. I've always wanted to go back to using my rotary at home though :-) But, of course, now my car is ceramic coated, so there'd be little point in polishing it, at least for the near future, as it's only about a year and a half since I coated it, and it's still beading nicely.

I’ve never used a rotary - strictly DA all the way. But your videos are encouraging me to think otherwise. I guess it’s a case of the right tool for the right job, as my Dad used to say. I definitely think Koch Chemie products are quite spot on for many applications. Thank you Brian. I hope to take your training collaboration in June.

Excellent! I'm glad to see this. I use the rotary (that's what I have) so to see this done WITHOUT hazing or holograms, etc... is awesome. All I need to do now is sort thru the gazillion different compounds out here. What's your thoughts on the Turtle Wax 1 and Done then followed up with their To the Max Wax? Would like a long lasting protection though! Thank you for your hard work I know these videos are time consuming to create!

Hey @ApexDetail - How well do you think this product/process would work on notoriously hard Mini/BMW paint? My black 2012 Cooper S is better after Jescar Heavy Cut and Meguiar's 105 (I thought the Jescar was a touch better) on a DA polisher with microfiber pads, but even then it was a lot of work.

In the search for ceramics I have tried the coatings of gtechniq, carpro, gyeon but I always want to be in the test of something better, I wanted to ask you about the jade ceramic coatings from puris, how durable are they? How resistant are they to water stains? I also saw that JADE brought out a graphene coating, I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE, IF YOU RECOMMEND THE JADE CERAMICS, OR WHICH COATING DO YOU MOST RECOMMEND?
@Brian-dj3ru
@Brian-dj3ru 2 жыл бұрын
I think no matter what you're going to get water spots .like after it rains etc..there's no coating in the world that will bead off every water drop.the only good thing about having a ceramic coating is that it puts an extra barrier over the clear coat,therefore the water spots won't etch into the clear coat so they'll be easy to remove
