Awesome! I bought an $1,800 leather loveseat about 6 minths ago and I hate it. I ALWAYS buy a medium to dark color with a shiny finish because we allow our German Shepherd to hang with us😊 But THIS time i went brain dead and got a light grey, and not shiny🤦‍♀️ Its been an utter nightmare to keep or even get clean in some areas. I honestly thought about losing the $$$ and getting another one but i think this will work!!!!! Thank you for the original video and this update, its worth a call to the company!❤

Did you end up painting it and did you like the results?
@JoyinFlorida

@@StitchFLFan not yet but I didn't like the reviews I saw on the product so I actually bought a 3 step actual "leather dye" process from a leather company. I'll have to wipe it down, then re-dye, then seal with a semi gloss (my choice). It cost me probably another 200.00 but since the love seat was expensive to begin with I really didn't wanna ruin it?

@@zarazen8110 hey!! Actually I didn't do this method....I went with a leather company and bought the 3 part system to re dye. The customer service was great and he said its easy, I've been dragging my feet though and haven't done it yet 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Story of my life lol

I'm glad you had good results. I bought this stuff for my Natuzzi sectional, and I am very disappointed with this Rub and Restore. After almost 5 coats and it looks very nice and brand new when I was done, by the way. However, after only sitting on it occasionally, the product began to flake. I looked at the floor and I found a light dusting of white paint on my hardwood floors. The leather is pitting and looking not so nice anymore and that was just weeks after putting my family room back together. I wanted to post images of my results on the Rub and Restore website, but you can't.

I’m sorry to hear you had these results. I would email them directly. My project had crap leather and I know Natuzzi usually has full grain. My suggestions would be to make sure you have actual leather and not bonded leather which peels and cracks eventually no matter what, and 2nd to email them. They respond within hours and have the best customer service.

Thank you so much for the update ! I m thinking of painting my 6 leather dining chairs. As these were around 700 each, and I cant afford new ones, I am sceptic about painting them and am wondering if the paint holds up nicely after a while or if my chairs will be ruined. Honestly am still a little afraid but your video has given me some comfort. Thank you

I have a 3 seater, a 2 seater and a chaise longue all heavily buttoned. 8 coats seems a little daunting but I don't want to blow the budget on a new sofa as I have the whole lounge diner to makeover (95m2)

Mine took 8 coats because I was going from a darker color to a lighter color. If you are doing close to the same color or going from light to dark you won’t need that many coats. It also dries very quickly. By the time I was done with one coat, I could start with the next. Every few coats, I would let it dry for about 30 minutes just to be safe. The whole thing took about 2 hours. I just watched TV! I also let it cure for a couple of days before I let anyone sit on it or put their feet on it. Again, just to be safe!

I didn’t use one because it wasn’t required and I was afraid it would make it shiny. I don’t regret not using one. It’s held up fine without!

I do not see any recommendations, just a plain video. At the beginning, you painted light color, but where is the result, it is still all dark.
