I have a '85 Caprice with the Landua top. 2 door. Still has the original carbuerator motor with 25k miles. I wish I had the shop to repair it. It needs some work. Probably about 1500 tI did the work myself. Just need more time. You're doing good work. Saving vehicles from the rust heap. It's not a classic until it's old.

UNDERGROUND PAINT KING, something I’ve learned from painting in garage is lower your homemade exhaust fan to bottom of walls so the dust an dirt don’t rise as your spraying an land on car. It makes a big difference in trash in clear. Also blow the shop out 100 percent then damp all the walls an floor with water to catch floating dust. (If you already don’t). Nice work tho an keep up. I’m sure it’s glass after you cut an buff!

You need some good exhaust and filters and you would be good unless you plan on doing a lot of painting and then a tall bay garage would definitely be what you need!

Doing a nice job with that H Freight gun! I gave up on buying and trying the cheaper Chinese guns. I bought the Iwatta W-400 1.3 and 1.4 gun and my orange peel is very minimal now even with single stage paint. At $235 dollars it's the most gun I can afford. I still use China cheap for primers, touch ups, polyester ect. I sure spend more time cleaning the Iwattas! Want them to last! The Black Widow gets views because so many people have a local HF and its well advertised. I'm guessing its better than the 18 to 50 dollar guns i used to buy. I like your channel, hope to see it grow so your efforts are rewarded with some of that youtube $$$$

Just got done painting my truck today. Had problems with the 1.3 and 1.4 tip lvlp spray guns had the 1.4 am throwing away and the 1.3 got a crack in the screw in part where you attach the cup had got them from Ali Express but have another 1.3 coming from them now and just ordered a air filter and regulator in one from them today. The 1.7 worked well for me though. I did base and finished with clear with it. Will wait to like Tuesday or Wednesday to take the plastic and paper off the windows of my truck and start driving it again only part didn't do was under the hood but that won't take long to do I still have paint left for that. I will worry about that after go down to Texas to move I know now my brother wife get out of school in December so that will be when I leave the job am at but will give them a two week notice in about the second week of December. But still depends on whenever he say can go down there because I am ready to go before December if he ends up saying earlier. But now gonna have to put a video of the paint job I did because haven't put one up yet I just this week got two of the 10,000 lumen led lights from Harbor Freight it did help for better lighting in the garage though.

@@UndergroundPaintKing I got the 1.3 HTE... I was spraying epoxy sealer on a hood, grille and bumper. It's a big upgrade from the $12 purple HF gun I was trying to spray primer with... went from a 4 inch pattern to about 8 inch with the spectrum. I haven't painted a vehicle in 20 years so spraygun technology has really improved. I might get another gun by the time I'm ready for my final color. Gonna spray single shot Viper Yellow from Kirker. I'll be watching to see what other guns you recommend. Thanks again!

I see you suffering in that clear cloud trying to see your next line. Gagage ventilation and lights are horrible in my garage with extra light and a gun bud. If it's crappy weather outside and your afraid too vent too much and stir up dust in between coats, you just got to suck it up and keep laying! Gets super cloudy sometimes, wish I had air suit or true booth.

You can use primer as a sealer if you want but any brand sealer should work fine and you can go with a 1k sealer or 2k sealer

How do I know if something is going to show through? Obviously if I can feel it, but what about catching fish eyes, and other issues before it's too late. I paint, but I'm not a pianter. Just trying to improve for my personal projects.

Fish eyes usually come from something reacting so it’s best to keep your surface clean that your working on and allow proper drying time once you start going from primer to clear

@@UndergroundPaintKing I went to spray a second coat of tractor enamel yesterday, after letting the first coat set overnight, and it beaded up right off. Someone recommend acetone for a thinner instead of naphtha and it worked, at least it is good enough for a car lift. But, I was almost lost there. I had no idea what to do with paint mixed and everything all geared up. Do you ever find yourself in the middle of spraying and have it start to fall apart? If so, what do you do, what's your checklist? I just got here, so I'll run through your videos to look for some of the answers. Just thinking about it.

@@bannockchief it’s a lot of different factors depending on the materials you’re spraying…I run into issues but I’ve been painting cars for a while and have learned over time the do’s and don’ts that work for me…I hope the channel helps out and feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try to help as best as possible!

Put epoxy primer sealer on today on hood after sanding both sides I used Isopropyl alcohol and window cleaner to clean it saw Kevin Teitz on the Eastwood site doing that but the primer was gray and after mixing the 2k epoxy primer sealer with Speciality reducer and activator instead of gray color sealer it came out a clear color I should of made a video of it on KZbin I have put some videos but not much people looking at them.

@@UndergroundPaintKing Be glad when the lvlp spray gun comes though all have shipped the three I got but gonna have to unclog this electric spray gun tonight it had sprayed some after I left but after I put epoxy primer sealer on my hood it wasn't spraying. I should of filled half the spray bottle had less than half put in the spray gun when putting 2k sealer on but should of waited more minutes to apply sealer saw online it said wait 30 minutes but the sealer should of came out gray not clear because mixed a speciality reducer got from Autozone and activator mixed in with the epoxy primer sealer. Don't know what did wrong to have the sealer coming out like clearcoat.

How big is your compressor in your garage? I’ve got an 80 gallon dual stage in mine. I’ve got a big 3 cylinder Eaton compressor for our shop. My Dad thought the Eaton was too big but has since changed his mind. I can sandblast and we also have a blast cabinet. I saw another one of your videos using a small compressor and the Low pressure low volume gun. The paint job looked excellent! Keep up the good work I enjoy your videos and learn by watching your painting techniques.👍
