In this demo I will be covering...
1) Choice of Subject. What makes a good watercolour subject. How to simplify the scene.
2) Materials I use such as the paper. I will also cover the paints I use and the palette, plus how I hold the different brushes for different techniques.
3) Doing the outline sketch as the first step. How to draw boat shapes.
4) Doing the sky and the first wash of the background and then the foreground.
5) Shadows and details of the figures and cars.
6) Watch out for the highlighting tips.

I really enjoyed this. Love your easy-to-listen-to way of speaking that is so interesting and easy to comprehend. You have a real talent for answering details and questions that are in the viewer's minds as you draw & paint.

I just had a go at doing this one. Seeing the green you put on the facade of one of the back buildings, I did the same - but then realized it was too much. However, later I saw that it looked like a couple of trees - and that if I had been trying to paint two trees there, I would have made them too “tree-like”. An important lesson for me there!

Tim, I thoroughly enjoyed this video with limited palette. As I am a beginner, would it be possible for you to keep the reference photo on screen so one can see how you change the painting from wash to wash and compare that to the photograph, showing how you choose your colours etc.

Thanks Tim. Enjoyed yet another demo. Couple of points though. You mentioned 'thinking about the composition' so I was surprise that the first car you sketched was bang in the middle of the paper and then you left the front bollard to divide the scene in half. You also say 'thinking about is it suitable for a painting', by this do you mean, as an exercise or do you you mean 'would I hang it on my wall'?

How do you take the photos of your paintings? They look like they sparkle! Do you use a flash to photograph?
@TimWilmot

I take the photo of my painting in bright light. Not indoors and not in bright sunlight. Sometimes I use a tripod to get a clear image. No modification of colour is done.
