Nice experimental comparison. Both versions have qualities. I don’t need to buy another palette so I think I will dry some of my gouache and see how that works.

I have been searching for this topic for about a whole year. So can dry gouche can be used as water colour?

I'm glad you found my channel! :) Yes, dry gouache can be used in washes like watercolor but it's not going to be as transparent, the layers will be more dense, with more coverage.

@@KseniaAnnis thanks for the information. I am thinking of starting gouache as watercolours such as camel or Camlin tends to get a bit dull when dried.

That Caran D’Arch gouache I used was super vivid, so that should work.
