Thank you for yet another fabulous tutorial, Deb! I don't have a lot of experience with Pthalo Blue ... was that Pthalo or a mixture that you were able to lift for the waterlily stems? I can't wait to try this tutorial today! :-)

Hi Bethany! Phthalo Blue is super strong - a little goes a long way, but it makes most of the green colors you buy in tubes. Phthalo does stain the paper, but I lift it up enough that I can paint yellow or yellow green back on top with no problem.

Thank you, May! I don't worry about messing up because I'm the queen of fixing watercolors - Mr. Clean's magic eraser lets you correct mistakes if they need it, or even make big changes. It makes watercolor more fun.
