The pretense of centrism is a weapon used by religious nationalists all over the world. The Print also pretends to be centrist while it gives voice to one of the most egregious examples of exploitative capitalists with their columns with some of the most nonsensical tirades against Oxfam International, a charity organisation giving people blankets for the winter. In balance, it would be really awkward if the Print gave the same column space to equally insane Maoists, which I know it will not because Centrism and Objectivity are keywords which form the vanguard for their dishonesty.

NONE of our local news does that in the format that Vantage does. Personally, I prefer this kind of news delivery that takes its time explaining the facts and context.

I like Ms. Sharma because she takes an "Indian first" approach to her reporting. It's good to see the Indian view. The only thing I find amusing is sometimes she pontificates about the Europeans taking a Europe first or the U.S. taking a U.S. first view.

I started watching Ms. Palki's stories from the time of surgical strike times. That's when it caught my eyes. And unlike any other prime time shows where the editor shouts at people after calling them for a debate, this show was entirely different without any noisy guests or hosts. I liked it. Also her stories were different than non-debate news as well, where typically news readers simply read a news of what is prompted at them and go. In essence I get more data for the time I spent with statistical data as much as possible with "zero noise" and "no-nonsense" fashion. So I stuck with her news since then.

For all its claims, "The Print" needs a Palki Sharma to raise its 'likes'. Do note the no. of likes this interview has. I do appreciate the print for featuring Palki (for whatever reasons) as she is not from the clique they usually cater to. BUT they do show their color when they go to malign 'new India' as angry. New India isn't one that's angry, they are aware of their achievements and not ashamed of their Indianness. The ones who are angry are those old media moguls sitting in their ivory towers who are realising it that they are irrelevant and nobody cares for their agenda
