20 years ago I had a vorteched 97 cobra that made 400whp - I thought I was the sheeeeeeit... the fact that we are even discussing 900whp cars on 93 as the “safer” way to go cracks me up.. insane, I love it.

Me too. I bought a 2003 Cobra in 2002, 390/390 and thought I was making some power. I had it tuned and done a few mods, think it was at 460rwhp when I sold it. Had a blast in that car though. It kept having leakage problems with the rear end. I guess the IRS wasn't fine tuned at that point. The stealership asked "How are u driving this car that it keeps leaking?" I just told the guy. I said if I catch a straightaway with no traffic I let it run through the gears, never had it at the track at this time, and it hit the limiter at 155ish in fifth gear, which I thought was fast. Oh. Brand new, it was 34,750.00. So price went up with HP.

"The important point to remember here is this is a good example of remote tuning versus dyno tuning. If we were remote tuning his car we would be running into issues we don't always see under the hood or very rarely see under the hood and we could have been running into this for weeks..... in ten minutes we were able to diagnose the problem and fix it." This is why I go with a proven local dyno tuner rather than have my tune emailed to me and never really knowing what kind of power I am putting down....

Why the Roush? If you like positive displacement blowers .... the new gen 5 whipple crushes the Roush. The Roush has a tiny intercooler... that's the main problem. Hopefully Magnuson will make a TVS 2650 for the mustangs and we'll then see how good the Whipple really is.
