Wow! I love this song, it's one of my favs. I love both of these ladies. Lorrie Morgan is my ultime fav artist. So I was excited to see Lorrie do Pam's song with her. However Lorrie really got ripped off in this song. Sound system really messed up and you couldn't even hear her. Hinse you could see her curse at the end. Still love them both and hope I can see them sing this song together again one day.

Tricky situation. Lorrie is clearly very frustrated, yes, but that might also be a nightmare sound job due to open air and other factors. At 2:05, just after 'Here in the firelight...' you can hear the high-pitched whistle of feedback, and I'm not sure whether it's Lorrie's mic or the young girl on acoustic guitar whose mic is 'feeding'. Also, I'm not sure Lorrie's got much to do in this song apart from sing harmonies? I see no rehearsed vocal arrangement or handing over of verse or chorus to Lorrie? At this level you can't just 'run-over' the song in the dressing room prior to the show, it really has to be properly rehearsed. I'd never let myself get into that situation if I thought it'd diminish me. Mind you, have you seen some of the 'rehearsed' televised duets between some mega stars? Ouch! Love this song, it's excellent writing. Who wrote it? Well, it was written by Jess Leary and Pam Tillis
