Oh my goodness, this was the most tenderest pork tenderloin I’ve ever made - followed your vid 99% (used olive oil, no bacon on hand) Can’t wait to have the family over for dinner & make it for them. Thank you for sharing this!!

Nice job starting out on the stove and finishing in the oven. The tenderloin looked great, nice and juicy, I really like it as a good can do a lot with it cut. Have a great upcoming weekend!

Finger licking good. The cast iron makes a difference. I treat mine with kid gloves. Timing for oven was spot on. Look forward to more of your delicious recipes

In 2011, the USDA updated their recommendations. The USDA now lists 145 F as its recommended safe minimum cooking temperature for fresh pork. This cooks pork to medium as opposed to well-done. A pork loin cooked to 145 F might look a little bit pink in the middle, but that's perfectly all right.

@@BuckeyeBackyardBBQ It was AWESOME! Fixed my man a plate (I roasted baby red potatoes with same seasoning & in same pan as the tenderloin & sides) then fixed my plate... When I walked in the room with my plate he immediately exclaimed 'HEY, this meat is AWESOME'! This is the first time ever that I've cooked a tenderloin to such perfection

@@BuckeyeBackyardBBQ I made my own from what i had on hand: onion powder, garlic powder (also used 1 large, thinly sliced, garlic bulb), pepper, paprika, crushed red pepper and a tad of brown sugar and oil ... also was on the potatoes. It was awesome & so so tender! My man took the leftovers for lunch today, of course! I'll check out your email & send a pic. Should have zoomed in for 1 shot to show how juicy it was! TY again

I viewed 3 vids and am using yours for tonight's dinner. Now, I have to figure out how to do cornbread in the cast iron, and then use it for the tenderloin. Since the meat cooks quickly, I think I'll just make the cornbread, wipe it out, and go for the meat.

@@BuckeyeBackyardBBQ Yes, I cooked some bacon in the cast iron pan, and saved the drippings. I used some of them for the cornbread (in the cast iron skillet) along with some bacon bits. The rest went into the skillet for the tenderloin.

I try to pull mine at 135 degrees still very pink but done none the less. If it goes to 150 it's overcooked IMO. I like to slice mine paper-thin for sandwiches with sour cream and horseradish mixture and served on flatbread. TheReaper

Oven temp was 450. Meat came out at 155 degrees

I never made a pork tenderloin but, I bought it the other day and I figured I would give it a try . ( making it for my fiancé 😁 ) I looked for a video to help me through it and I decided to go with this one because it looked very delicious. If my fiancé don’t like it I guess I’ll never do it again lol making it tomorrow 😁

Well good luck lol. Just make sure you check your temp when you pull it Out. Some times I have to stick back in the oven for a few minutes. What kinda of spices you going to use? That Harry soo rub is amazing. Get it off amazon

You are absolutely correct! And when cooked to 145 to 155 degrees it will be a little pink and that’s totally fine. If you want to cook to a higher temp that’s fine to. But it can dry out very fast past 160.
