大分・うみたまご水族館のセイウチショー 腹筋など Walrus Performance in Umitamago Aquarium

大分マリーンパレス水族館うみたまごのセイウチ、「ミーちゃん」のパフォーマンスをご覧いただけます。ラッパ（笛？）の演奏、腹筋、投げキッス、ごあいさつなど、本当にセイウチがやっているの？中に人間が入っているのでは？と思わせるほどの芸、演技が続きます。セイウチのミーちゃん本人が言葉も何もかもわかった上で、観客を楽しませることを自ら楽しみながら（生きがいにしながら）やっているように見えます。犬、猫、鳥、猿、いずれの動物でもここまでの完璧な演技はできないと思います。あいさつの仕方やタイミングひとつをみても完璧でした。ミーちゃんの他に、ぶぶちゃん、泉ちゃん、温くんがいるようで、皆同じように上手な演技ができるようです。飼育員の方々の心からの深い愛情がなければ、これほどの強固な信頼関係は生まれないと思います。今回説明してくださった女性飼育員の方は、ミーちゃんが観客に危害を加えたり水をかけたるすることは絶対にない、と確信をもっています。だからキスシーンも安心して見ていられます。
You can enjoy the performance of "Mii-chan", who is the popular walrus in Umitamago aquarium.
Umitamago (Oita Marine Palace Aquarium) is located between Oita city and Beppu city in Japan and near Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Garden.
At this aquarium, sea animals and fishes can actually be touched or seen up closely.

I've actually never cried seeing an animal do a performance like this, but the look in the Walruses eyes, it seems so done and tired and even a little sad and looks like its struggling. I just dont think this is right as in like something it shouldnt be doing. This is my opinion and yours might be different, this really emotionally exhausted me 😩😭🤧

Walrus and sea lions are very sociable and tend to seek social activity from humans, just like dogs. They are easy to train if the trainer is experienced and highly intelligent too. Very rarely do zoos abuse their animals. Especially not in Japan. Most walruses are rescues that would not have survived in the wild.
