Thanks for shooting these tests and not deleting them. I am very grateful for the time it has saved me from running these tests myself.

this vid is amazingly put together. thank u for all that comparisons. my favorite settings is definitely sharpening to -5. sharpening setting seems to increase grain by a lot while sharpness stays almost the same, just doesnt seem worth it. when it comes to NR once again i definitely like more it in - . just not sure if -5 or -2 or maybe just leave it at default 0. i definitely dont like it in +, it smudges everything, blurs, and it seems to kill contrast a bit too.
@lovefirst61574 жыл бұрын
Well thank you for the video, would of loved the more in depth but plans change I understand. I still prefer sharpness at -5 especially when shooting leaves, plants, and still prefer noise reduction at -5 simply because of the natural look straight out of camera. The noise reduction is not bad at all, -3 seems like a good trade off with not destroying your footage. What do you think
@carlscinema70864 жыл бұрын
Yeah, would have been nice to make a more in-depth video. This one feels a bit incomplete without skin tone tests, because that really is the most important part when it comes to trying to get natural looking images.

I am confused does reducing it or increasing nr make it less noice or more
@lovefirst61572 жыл бұрын
@@Random-yz8gb Increasing noise reduction will make noise, much smaller and nonexistent, but it does ruin the image so there is a trade-off
@Random-yz8gb2 жыл бұрын
@@lovefirst6157 I really hate the noise and don't use the premier pros vr denoise because it's so bad, so what setting do u recommend? Idk about sharpness either
@lovefirst61572 жыл бұрын
@@Random-yz8gb for me you really have to shoot with certain settings, review the footage and see how u like it. I like my sharpness at -4 and noise reduction at -5 and I never use noise reduction because I never went crazy with the iso but if u feel like you are going to use 1600 or more iso a lot then shoot a shot with noise reduction at 0 then noise reduction at -5. If u can’t tell a difference then go with 0

I never found any in camera Noise Reduction option available with GH5, went thru the user manual and found nothing. Where did you turn on the in camera Noise Reduction on the GH5???? Are you using GH5 II or GH5???
@javieralejandrogonzalezvillalo23 күн бұрын
The option it's available with the settings for each profile, so if you go to Cine Like D you can choose the Noise Reduction (NR) to be between -5 and +5 and so on for all other pictures profile

Thanks a ton for this test. For me it seems that noise reduction 0 is best bang for buck, and the same goes for sharpness. Will use them from today at 0. And of course, I wouldn't go over 1600 altho it would be very interesting to see results for ISO3200, because 6400 is kinda extreme...

I have a big confusion!!! Wish settings is better on Gh5 +5 or what !!!!
@lovefirst61574 жыл бұрын
It up to you to decide. Plus 5 just means there is more of sharpness or noise reduction being applied in camera. If you don’t see a difference then leave it in 0 for noise reduction and 0 for sharpness or you could reduce sharpness too just please don’t go over 0 for both noise reduction and sharpness like +1.

Ciao Luca. Grazie in anticipo

@@FedericoBee ciao Fede, usa V-Log con sharpening e noise reduction al minimo...se vuoi registrare in rec709 usa cine D
@FedericoBee3 жыл бұрын
@@LucaBono.Studio grazie. Molto basse
