I wouldn’t say the BMPCC has a soft image. It’s totally out of focus. Also to make a real comparison it should be without any post-processing and possibly RAW, I think. And in low light what lenses did you use and at what ISO? Parameters should be the same and mentioned to be replicable. Thanks anyway.

If you're not zoomed in while focusing on both cameras then you're not doing a valid focus test. BMPCC 4K has the ability to zoom in. You should redo the test using equal parameters including the same lens.

Without showing what lenses and settings were used to film these clips it's hard to make a good comparison between the two cameras. The main aspects are getting across but especially the low light test does mean nothing when we don't know the used aperture and iso of the two cameras.

Very interesting video. Thank you I am not an expert because I just like to shoot. I'd like to ask a questio please, hoping someone experienced will answer me. 1) I only make documentaries in remote areas, around the world. 2) I travel alone. 3) I like to film in 4K 50p 10bit. 4) I would like to get the same or slightly better video quality than the GH5. 5) I would like a room that is easy to use. Which room do you think is the best for me? I could also accept a small camcorder, but only if it has excellent image quality. I thought of Blackmagic because it was small but then I realized that maybe it's not for me. Thank you very much for the advice.

The blurry focus is probably because the image isn’t processed. It’s raw lol. Sharpen and NR in post.
