A sneak tease for the next video. Might start doing this more often in the future, cut out a bit I think is a bit funny and make it it's own teaser.

There are categories of wartime atrocity so far beyond everything the world has yet seen that there's no comparison. I myself only understood it when I was reading Takezaki Suenaga's firsthand account of what it was like to live through the Mongol Invasions, and suddenly remembered the visceral experience of my entire city, several thousand people, gathering together in a single venue, all of us weeping over the closed casket of just one of us who'd been hit by a train. In that exact moment, I got it, and about 3/4ths of this kind of fiction became unacceptable to me. That scale of pain needs to be felt before it can be written. You can, in fact, understand what it means when millions of people have been murdered. Most people avoid it. Because it hurts beyond any language's ability to explain and any single person's ability to respond to.

The nova bombs are pretty op for the UNSC to have. Would have done better replicating their explosive energy for anti Covenant fleet roles. One Nova bomb is more powerful then the Imperium of Man's average super weapons.

@@thorshammer7883 NOVA bombs are specialised for strategic planet-side usage, not tactical space combat. They're specifically tailored for causing a massive amount of destruction right up to orbit, but they're pretty useless in space. Nuclear warheads typically operate off nuclear fission, meaning they can only cause massive amounts of destruction if there's actually any material for them to cause fission with. That doesn't happen in space. Instead you get an insane radiation wave and electromagnetic pulse which does a lot of damage against shields to the point of disabling them (and realistically speaking, the radiation wave should turn the occupants of any ship into mush), but at that point you might as well use a SHIVA nuke, since that's specifically designed for starship usage and is considerably cheaper and easier to make and works better in space anyway.
