After 2 years of symptoms my NHS consultant diagnosed EPI and Biliary dyskonesia. No discussion of root cause, tteatment is gut gallbladder out and go on enzyme therapy. Not things I wanted and having had months of time (lo g waiting lists) I have done loads of research, so I asked about stomach acid, and bile flow... he said absolutely not related 🙄 This video has been more helpful than dozens of UK doctors and consultants. This actually makes a lot of sence and also it seems like low stomach acid is the biggest issue for the rest of problems. I was dealing with lose stool for 10 years at least and starting taking HCL i have improved a lot my symptoms even if you would think, that it will be more acidic and will make a big dhiarria but its oppsit. I am also working on bile and bacteria owergrowth but it seems like after starting taking HCL in high doses, all the symptoms start to improve a lot especially lose stool issues.
@KickItNaturally6 ай бұрын
Yeah, it is more rare, but we do see this in about 1 in 40 or 50 cases of loose stool issues, so it happens more than you might think. I talk about this in some of videos about bile and stool issues.

From my comment on another video from a year ago, with the information that I have seen, I have finally narrowed the situation with my digestion much more: low HCL. I took huge dosages of apple cider vinegar-and it helped some, but nothing like betaine HCL. Recently, if looked into CCK again. The question I have now, how to bring it into balance? Low levels of it can create the issue of not releasing bile and enzymes but it appears that high levels are a problem as well. I read studies that showed that high levels increased the time that food left the stomach and the hunger was decreased. Also, one of the studies mentioned that these affected people could suffer from malnutrition due the fact that they are not eating as much. I wonder what would cause the level of CCK in the blood to be high? Tony, can you perhaps make a video about secretin as well, as it appears to have identical functions as CCK? Also, I finally realized the way stress affects digestion. The cortisol/other chemicals in stress, shut down the digestive system(stomach, sphincter of oddi, gall bladder)-perhaps another topic for the video?

This is really interesting as after clinical 'Faecal elastase tests' I have been flagged as having Severe exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Doing my own research got me quite confused and concerned as I don't have any history of Pancreatitis (EPI seems to happen after 10 years or so of having such a condition), I don't have CF, am not celiac or diabetic etc..... so I hope I don't have Pancreatic cancer (I have no severe symptoms etc). HOWEVER 9 months or so ago I was struggling with indigestion/acid reflux and have been on PPI for a lot of that time, back in summer I got a suspected ulcer after (I believe) Ibuprofen use after an injury, and took 60mg PPI a day .... few weeks later -Diarrhoea, colic, etc, which let me back to the GP and the faecal elastase test. I will keep an open mind, but what you say makes a lot of sense and I fit the pattern.

Be aware now that for fresh and upcoming New surgeons...the gallbladder is a prime target, its an easy surgery to practice on to get their experience. ' They want your gallbladder ' and Theyll tell you it has to come out and you dont need it, when in fact that is untrue for the most. They dont tell you that after removal you will have to take bile supplements for the rest of your life ( you will need pills and a chemist to collect them from for the remainder of your time ) just so you can go to the toilet. Also you may have leakage and need to wear a diaper at times. Changing your diet can reduce an inflamed / enlarged gallbladder, as i did . Dont rush to get it removed, just eat better.
