My husband sits with me while I watch painting videos. He says that you, Jane, give the best instructions. There is no interference with unnecessary chatter. Just directly to the point with close-ups. Thank you for being such an awesome instructor.

There will always be thumbs down people; I’m not sure what they are looking for. I take an acrylics class once a week in San Diego. I often tell new arrivals about you and your videos. Some students are expecting more of how you teach...so, I’m always sending them your way. My instructor teaches techniques...and some want to paint a picture. They stay with us; but get enjoyment out of your videos. You are a wonderful instructor Jane.

HI Jane, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your tutorials. Love this painting. I hope you know how therapeutic your painting techniques are. I suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia. And suffer from a lot of pain in my muscles and joints. I find painting to relax me. It may take me a couple of days or even a week or two to finish a painting but I just work as long as I can then take a break. I truly feel as if it's my own therapeutic session. I just relax and enjoy your session. Your voice is soothing and you don't rush giving me time to really understand what you are doing. Thank you for sharing your talent....

Hello Jane, I stumbled upon your tutorial for painting the old fence post with wire wrapped around it and I absolutely love it. As a beginner in acrylics, I painted along with you pausing frequently, reviewing, and painting along. While instructing how to paint, you explain the reasonings of how, why, what, and where are spot on. I will be searching for more of your tutorial painting ideas. Thank you for sharing with us folks that that want to learn to paint. Carol D.

I fell asleep the other day whilst watching you video Jane. Not from boredom just relaxed. Na, just kidding. Well I painted the fence post 7 times before I got it right. The first looked like it came out of the hardware store which would have had more character. Now i'm really chuffed with the result. Your tip with using the fingers instead of the wrist was excellent. I could never paint thin lines and now I have the thin wire wrapped around the barbed wire and fence. Thank you again for your work. You are an excellent teacher and artist. Dave Perth Western Australia xx

I’ve never enjoyed watching and listening to someone instruct about painting as mush as I have you. I’ve wanted to paint pretty much all my life and I seriously think I can paint something now after watching you. As a kid, drawing scenes like this one was one my my very favorite things to draw. I’m excited to try and paint it after seeing you paint. Thank you for the inspiration and peacefulness while watching and learning.

Hello Jane, I was looking out for beginner tutorials and just happened across you video. I am trying my hand at painting (although a little late in life 😂) and have watched many videos, but feel I must comment on what I think is a superb tutorial for newby painters and one of the very best I have seen. Your presentation is exceptional, you make us beginners feel at ease the way you constantly remind us there is no "must have technique to achieve this or that" and that there is no defining right or wrong, good and not so good maybe, but you show so much and in such detail you really are a confidence booster! So well done to you and thank you for producing an excellent tutorial. Off to look for more of your work hoping they are from the same stable so as to speak. Kind regards, Tony (UK)
