The CE rating arms race for urban motorcycle jeans is well and truly in motion and the BOSS Dyn 01 from Pando Moto is a hammer blow against the competition. This effort scores AAA certification and with protection levels that match high-tech race suits, you would expect these to feel like medieval chainmail. Far from it. The Dyn 01s are some of the most comfortable jeans on the market and rival your everyday fashion jeans in wearability.
The Boss Dyn 01s are actually a multi-layer design but a clever one, so unlike many of the layered alternatives, they remain lightweight. The outer is made from 12.5oz Cordura stretch denim blend in a washed finish, this is backed up by UHMWPE abrasion-resistant aramid fibres underneath in the key-impact zones where you need the most hardcore protection in a spill. The slide times speak for themselves, 92 meters or 6.7 seconds in fact. We don’t recommend trying this but it certainly brings peace of mind. That being said you would probably need to visit your local runway to get close.
The overall silhouette of these jeans is your standard slim fit, 5 pocket design which makes them indistinguishable from high street fashion brands. Pando Moto have also incorporated a decent level of stretch in the material so you are unrestricted on the bike without having to wear an ill-fitting potato sack around your legs that'll be flapping in the wind. Of course, height-adjustable, removable ultra-low profile SAS-TEC TripleFlex knee and hip armour are provided as standard too.
The Boss Dyn 01s are competitively priced with a mammoth spec sheet so we highly recommend considering these. Andrew has even made the bold claim that these are his favourite jeans in our line-up and recommendations don’t come more glowing in our opinion. The guy has tried on a lot of jeans.

I have 2 pair of Pando Moto and they are just superb, comfortable and fit like regular jeans. Not cheap but are so good, the only jeans for me where the knee armour stays on the knee while sitting in the riding position. I'm a 33 waist and 32 fit perfectly.

I know I'm asking a question a year after you uploaded this video - I was wondering if the extra reinforcement for impact zones also covers the hip and thigh region, or is it strictly the knees and seat of the pant? It seems that the hip and thigh are also frequently impacted in a crash, but I didn't see it explicitly stated on Pando Moto's website (description section).

I see what you mean looking back. The guy in our lifestyle pics has quite slim legs. On me I find these are a slim fit, just the way I like it, nowhere near skinny, but fitted and flattering. What's better: multi- or single-layered jeans?

The Ultimate jean has to be single layered but the point I made here is that in practice many single layered jeans don't feel nice to wear and are often stiff. These feel unbelievably light for a multi layered jean and the end result is that, regardless of being single or multi-layered, these are my favourite (just, over the John Doe Mono) out of our whole line up. They definitely don't feel like how most AAA jeans do! - Andrew

They're less hot than single layered jeans from a number of brands. But hotter than the thinnest single layered jeans. - Andrew

@@aka_pierre A bit expensive. But worth it. Slide time of 11 seconds. Cool in summer and very light. They fit like my Levi 501 boot cut jeans.
