No point in movement display, crown will probably bend, and due to the lack of second hand you can't easily tell if the watch is working or not.

Not only is seeing second hand moving at its regular pace is reassuring, but ability to tell seconds is useful by itself, not to mention seeing something move (like tourbillon, balance wheel, second hand, etc.) breathes life into timepiece. With this specific watch, I believe Panerai sacrificed function over design, but I guess that's what customers desire. Still, all of the above aside, that movement display (if you can call it that) looks silly there, bragging rights? I dunno. And crown is the biggest deal breaker for me. If you, like me, prefer to wear your watches slightly loose, I can guarantee you will bend it. It's too big, should have placed it on one of the corners.
