All part of the testing, shallow water test, deeper test with pressure lever closed.

The crown can actually still spin even if the guard is closed you just can't pull it out to change the time.

I just don't understand....why don't Panerai open another HQ Workshop in Geneve, Swiss, to make all in house watch movement stamped with Poincon de Geneve......Geneva Hallmark.....In House watch movement

Essentially then, although a Panerai is a fine piece of engineering and something I would be proud to own if I could ever justify the expense, I'm more in the market for a decent fake. These are made, like Panerai and I suspect many others, on automated machinery, hand polishing the cases made from SS, just like Panerai, and then final assembly by hand with hopefully some care. All for 100th of the price of the real thing. Cloned Chinese movement sure, but for me more than enough for my needs. If anyone asks I just tell 'em it's a Bali special, correct twice a day. Maybe I'm a philistine, but I get most of the pleasure of ownership for a fraction of the price, and without the divorce ....

0:38. “The dial is comprised of…….” No it is not. It may COMPRISE two brass plates ,or it may be COMPOSED OF two parts. To say it is “ Comprised of” is just plain ignorant. I expect better from a quality video.

It's a shame how much automation is used the the process of making these :/ Nothing like a Rolex or Patek Philippe.

Actually, a Rolex uses a much automatic as a panerai, The thing is that the Panerai uses a crap unitas and their in house trash movements, and Rolex uses bulletproof movements that if properly taken care of will last for decades, you want a work of art, but a Vacheron or a Patek, You want something solid that will go on forever ? Rolex or Seiko.
