Regarding Steering Column Anchor... Body Color. You've already got black on top of the dash. You don't want the truck to look like a Dalmatian (or a cow), afterall. I'm guessing Tony's bill is unpaid and the provider is restricitng incoming calls.

color? for me it depends on the color of the steering tube. if the tube is black, then i'd go body color. if the tube is body color, then i'd go black for the drop.

Black, not body color. I won't pretend I'm an expert (although I could, I am an Official KZbin Commenter and Armchair Know-It-All Extraordinaire) but... on my grandpa's farm were 3 of those Chevy trucks, a 55, a 57 and a 58, and IIRC only the 58 had a body color steering column bracket, the others were black. Were they original? Beats the heck outta me, the 57 had probably 5 coats of paint on it.
