I saw your hour video about your life and you had to be a smart and strong person to get through that. Good luck Roly, I wish you the best in terms of your channel. Crossing my fingers for you that nothing gets demonetized and re-reviewed at a weird time. In my personal opinion I really think your going to be better of without the MCN, being independently monetized with KZbin. I know KZbin made the monetization requirements harder like last year ish but, I mean even my KZbin channel used to be monetized and the last thing I read in an email from them when they re-reviewed my channels monetization was that you need a minimum of 1000 subs and at least a specific amount of watch time, something about sponsors etc. So I imagine you will be fine honestly back when I was monetized a year ago, I didn't even have 100 subs or any regular viewers. So the bar is still pretty low.

Wow I didn't know monetising away from YT itself was even a thing! Totally understand your worry - I think anyone with a big channel like yours who relies on it for income would be freaked, but at the end of the day you'll be making KZbin money, your content is fab and doesn't go against any guidelines, and you'll be able to hit monetisation criteria again sooo quickly. Try not to panic, it sounds scarier than it is 💚

Darling Roly, it's understandable, and a sign you've gone into this decision fully aware of the potential risks, that you are worried, and nervous. It's similar to when someone leaves full-time employment to work for themselves. It's scary! But!! You have such a tremendous community that loves you so much, that appreciate you so much, we will all be here for you and stand ready to help. If you don't mind my making suggestions, I'd consider adding additional ways for us to support you beyond Patreon and merch - things like ko-fi (or similar), maybe consider Cameo, as so many of us have said over the years your personality is so uplifting and inspiring, I can imagine a lot of us could do with a little personalised Roly pep-talk!! You are a true star, a bright light that brings people hope and comfort, and I wish I could do the same in return. I can relate Roly. I grew up dirt poor, and living in a situation where you don’t know where you next meal might come from leaves you with all kinds of fear and ptsd. I also panic at the drop at the hat and catastrophize everything. Therapy has helped a lot, but I still do it. I hope it all works out. I love your channel; it inspired me to start getting pierced. When I first found your channel I had no piercings, and I’m going to get my fourth one next week. Hang in there.

I love these nonsensical raw videos of just talking. Because it really feels like you’ve just sat down with a virtual friend or whatever and hearing them rant over life stuff. My dude. I've been through the absolute ringer in my life. Lived in multiple states, kicked out of my house at a young age or had to leave apartments because of unstable roommates, many times after simultaneously losing my job, especially in the last year. The thing I have learned is that I will always find a way. I grew up poor as well. You learn to survive - and you will. It's gonna be ok, things will work out.

Honestly Roly, I am the queen of panicking. Most of the time, whenever I worry about something SO hard, the outcome that I fear that will happen turns out to be the total opposite and it is such a relief but I feel like all that overthinking was so much unnecessary negative energy but I totally get it. We have this saying, sort of, here in the Netherlands. Which kind of goes like: Human beings suffer the most, from the suffering they expect. But that never shows up. So basically, we worry beforehand about things. Imagining the worst outcomes. That usually don't end up happening. Which is totally something I do. Panicking about things that aren't a reality.

I know nothing of how the KZbin business works, but it does sound very anxiety inducting at times. But even if you had to start from the bottom again (not saying you will!), but if you had to; it might be difficult at first, but I'm sure you'll be ok eventually. as someone whose likely gonna start getting monetised sometime next year, and have kinda always strived to be, as well as chronically being on this platform watching creators who already are, I'm vaguely aware of how the system works and I understand why you're terrified. you seem to logically know problems will likely not arise but anxiety do be anxiety. something I've always found with issues I face is look at the worst possible scenario and start building a narrative of what you would do if that came to be. an example that I'm thinking today "what happens if I fail this course at uni", well I will need to resit it and work hard towards that. there are people who will help you because they love you if the worst happens. that may be something you'll need to cling onto when your anxiety about this flares up. I'm not sure how much this comment will help but I wish you all the best Roly

You're not alone, I'm a chronic panicer especially if something feels like it's high stakes and getting the unwanted outcome could be really stressful ect. I get it. People say don't panic but you do, saying don't panic doesn't help. The only thing I've found which kind of helps is to try and rationalise that until I have the outcome it's out of my control and there's nothing I can do about it, worrying won't change the outcome so try to use as little energy on it as I can until I know what the outcome is then try and plan accordingly from there because before that you really are using a lot of energy panicking over something which maybe nothing yaknow 💜

I run my own business and will do the same thing! I will be on the verge of going to sleep and just have a nagging thought something is going wrong and my business is going to fail even though it going better than I ever thought. I will go over payroll, insurance, rental equipment, everything that could be an issue. It I’m paid late I start panicking that I won’t be able to pay bills no matter how much I still have. It drives me insane. The only thing I can do is ignore these thoughts but then I get concerned I’m forgetting something BECAUSE I’m ignoring these thoughts. It’s a cycle.

It's completely understandable to go into panic mode when it regards career or money. I'm glad it all worked out for you in the end Roly. Like other people have said, we're all here to support you no matter what. But yeah having any type of debt or shortage of money, or changes in my career gives me so much anxiety to the point I want to throw up. I do have anxiety i guess I am kind of an anxious person by nature but it takes a lot to actually stress me out. But when i comes to money, paying bills etc, I get panic attacks and I worry about every little thing. And I'm currently trying to pay off debts so the panic is 24/7 😅🤢
