by far the best performance live! I saw Pantera twice in my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything! That Moscow show is insane! Phil was 23, Dime was 25, Rex & Phil were 27. To be that good in front of that many people at such a young age is insane. The energy in the crowd is crazy. Phil & Dime had such chemistry on stage. The 4 of them were so tight in the early years. Rex is under rated by everyone. Man I can go on forever about Pantera lol..

Because of this band right here. Because of that man, Dimebag, was the whole reason i fell in love with metal and started learning guitar back in 1994. Such a shame what happened to Dime, should have never happened. May he RIP with his brother Vinnie. I just had to buy myself that very same guitar he plays in this vid. The Dean from hell. Love it.

Pantera was an American heavy metal band from Arlington, Texas. The group was formed in 1981 by the Abbott brothers-drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist Dimebag Darrell-along with lead vocalist Terry Glaze. Bassist Rex Brown joined the band the following year, replacing Tommy D. Bradford, who was the unofficial original. Having started as a glam metal band, Pantera released four albums independently during the 1980s. Looking for a new and heavier sound, Pantera replaced Glaze with Phil Anselmo in late 1986 and released Power Metal in 1988. In 1989, the band secured a record deal with the major laber Atco. With its fifth album, 1990's Cowboys from Hell, Pantera popularized the groove metal genre. This video was filmed at The Basement in Dallas, TX .

Pantera started off as a hair band in the early 80s. A glam rock band. Phil Anselmo started singing with them and sang on Power Metal, a transitory album. They made the big switch in 1990 when Cowboys From Hell was released with their more familiar aggressive sound.
