No grocery shopping for the entire month with a $25 emergency budget (except for two exceptions): Exception 1: If I need goodies for my brand-new freeze dryer (I’m so excited to experiment with it!). Exception 2: Social activities, like meeting friends for coffee, or the occasional family takeout dinner.

Why I’m doing this challenge: ✨ Save money after the busy holiday season. ✨ Prevent food waste by using up what we’ve already preserved, grown, or hunted. ✨ Learn what we use the most of and what preservation methods work best for us.
I hope this inspires you to think about your own pantry and how you can use what you already have.
