That's actually true. There's a hidden document by this lake that confirms it. If you go all the way to the left on the shore and swim while hugging the wall, there will be a small beach with a sleeping bag, radio, and a note that confirms that this is part of a Murkoff experiment that involves mind control or something, but is instead driving people crazy due to some sort of feedback loop. Jacksepticeye goes back and reads the document at the very end of his last Outlast 2 video if you wanna know where to find it.

(I think there's another connection) In Outlast 1 and Outlast 2 there's a type of religion that involves human sacrifice. In Outlast 1 the priest sacrafices himself so Miles could escape and what not. In Outlast 2 they sacrafice the babies so the antichrist isn't born. I believe the opposite.....I love Mark, but he's far from smart or sharp in reasoning.....instead he has a big heart, big morals, and a vast open-mindedness than can adapt and constantly try to be understanding....while it's damn awesome he actually pays attention to the story and tries to make sense of events going on around him unlike a majority of KZbinrs, somewhere along, he tends to get wayyyy too off-topic and just plain silly with some of his theories and/or misses/misinterprets one or multiple huge details that both greatly hinder putting the story together, confusing him later on....but hell, he's gotten a HELLUVA lot better at paying attention, trying to understand, and exploring the story without getting sidetracked (except when he's panicking).....so again, smart and sharp in reasoning aren't what you wanna call him...but he's truly vigilant, attentive, adaptive, and goddamn experienced in horror games..... +Dylan K That's true that some of his skills went a bit rusty, but he's still got game. He _had_ explained it in past livestreams that he doesn't play horror games as much in the last few years simply because there's a seldom supply of choices with that genre. Horror games aren't the 'go-to' of game developers and sadly it shows. At least SCP is still updating its system. Is Slenderman having any updates? Nah. Amnesia Custom Games? Not that I know of. RPG? Slowly dying. Those were breakthrough content. He was a horror gamer in his starting years simply because there were a lot to play with it. The aforementioned games, then Evil Within, Last of Us, Outlast 1, Alien Isolation, Dead Space, Soma. 2015-2016 depleted in horror games, barring Until Dawn. FNAF was also there. I guess after like, a 243 vids of Amnesia and a lot of Slenderman vids, so many FNAF variations and all make it feel like you're just listening to that one song on repeat and listening to 5 remixes of the same song. It gets menial, you know? Probably the reason why he had to break away from horror games. However 2017 seems to be the year where people show the horror games, that's why Mark's playing them again, which I gladly accept.

Mark, it's actually not all that uncommon to move around while you're out of it. The human brain can operate your motor functions subconsciously while you're preoccupied with other things. Yea that makes a lot of sense and that is what I was talking about with my friend earlier that the notes in one of them a person said they were dreaming so much they were even dreaming during the day so Blake going to the school is the dream of his sin which was also described in another note that they dream of their sins and Blake believes it was his fault when Jessica killed herself and that is the sin he constantly dreams about. and while he is dreaming in the reality he is moving around in the school as well as the village he is in. My friend and I also talked about the why Jessica killed herself which mark hinted at here she was probably raped by the priests of the school at least three of them because of the six armed monster chasing Blake. I just thought about it too what if this isn't just Jessica knowing the three rapists but Blake knew who they were too or at least one rapist and two contributors which is why blake sees that one guy. This is all theory though it is what I think so far

If the priest and grabby hands are the same thing, is it maybe how Blake sees him? He knows what the priest did to Jessica (if thats why she hung herself), so he imagines him as a monster. Maybe as a kid it was easier for him to see the priest as an actual monster instead of a person, it's easier to know the priest was bad. Maybe he imagines him with all of the hands because he touched Jessica? ( I hope that's not it, that's just where my brain went) There's so much cool stuff to discover in this game!

I heard a lot of theories that Jessica was sexually assaulted and thats why she hung herself, but what if it was by the principle? Maybe the principle and the grabby-hand man are the same person? Which would explain why you constantly see the principle and the grabby-hand man in his flashbacks, but you never at the same time. Also i think the reason the grabby-hand man is seen with multiple hands is because that represents Jessica being touched/groped with the principles hands. Idk just random thoughts 😋

Mark, there's a difference between crawling and crouching in this game, to crouch press Ctrl and to crawl press C. You needed to crawl in order to get under that house and get that note.

OR Blake is retelling his story about what happened to someone in the future, but we are playing what he is telling. When we review what he is recording, it's a piece of the story he is telling someone, but he can't tell someone about his trips into the school, for he has nothing he can say when those events never existed, all that remains in the recordings from the school are murmurs of a mad man.
