When it was released I was in a really bad relationship I couldn't get out of, I'm talking emotional blackmail when I tried to leave and felt trapped as a new mum who had just lost their own mum (he also switched up after he got me alone to himself) and was too scared people wouldn't believe me, dealt with literal death threats ect! Music is the only therapy that has ever helped me work through some sh*t and this song was one that got me through the roughest parts! Sorry for the trauma dump but my point is that I 100% agree!

Personally I think of it a bit differently. I see it as someone who made lot's of bad choices as a younger man, such as marrying the wrong person, never getting a steady job, not taking care of himself,etc. Wht We se is him paying for that as an adult, and him wanting it all to go back. But he can't go back. He can't "pretend he's been through hell" since it's only because of himself and no one else that his life is like this. But through all of this, the bad choices, the regret. he finds someone like him, who as still able to turn his life around, to find a way to make it better.
@Ehansen11707 жыл бұрын
relax. music is suppose to be a lighter approach to issues. Why do some people take music to the political extreme. music for me is a way to enjoy a sad satire of the tools that make life harder on regular people. you know us 99%. The elite are not bothered by what we think. They are probably happy that people are distracted by arguing over what the artist really meant by such tricky lyrics. It takes our focus off them so they can go on blatantly and criminally taking from us. We the public are so blind to what cops, lawyers, politicians, and huge corporations, such as drug companies, are manipulating the way we live and die. There are cures and successfull treatments in other countries for many of the diseases we as people have to live with. American pharmaceutical companies are not worried about us being healthy. They would rather treat drug side affects with more drugs. Do a little research on this topic and realise how criminal and unethical these greedy pharmaceutical companies are. They even block us as Americans from getting better treatment here by not approving these methods or illegalizing whatever they're lobbyist want them to. Growth hormones, Steroids, and other forms of supplements to make us healthier, bigger, faster and stronger are illegal. I think these are substances that we as Americans should have the choice as free thinkers and the one responsible for my health. And yet they won't let us choose. It's. because we wouldn't be as likely to need their drugs if we were aloud to supplement our youthfulness . Most steroids act as super healers. And are Drs. do use them for some things our bodies can't get rid of on its own like poison ivy. Anyway I'm going a bit too deep. Look it up people we are the most informed we as people have ever been. Yet we don't care. France opened its borders to American refugees. They feel sorry for us. We don t deserve to lose our rights. We the people. Educate yourselves so that you can enjoy your music for what it is. Information in a creative way. Rage against the machine got deep into telling the government's secrets in a way that was aggressively warning us just how ruthless they are. Never once did I feel offended by the lyrics, I actually felt like I was included in the message they delivered. We are all being lead by the 1% to only be able to make them richer and more powerful. They don't allow us the choice to use a better product or method. That isn't freedom. The founding fathers of this county would proclaim independence against our present government and wonder what the he'll happen to our will to make laws in a way we can completely benefit from our choices. It's only a matter of time before tyranny forces us back into the way it was in the past. And with technology as good as it is we won't be able to do anything about it. I personally want better health so I can live life to it's fullest until the day I die. Peace people. Venting felt good.

There's a great line in this song, well there's several, but the one I'm talking about is "I can't pretend that I ain't been through hell." Too many of us minimize our trauma and what we've gone through because we see people who we feel have had it much worse. But the truth is, it's not a competition. Just because someone went through something absolutely horrific, that does not mean that what you went through was any less damaging. Give yourself permission to acknowledge what you've been through.

Experienced a major military oriented traumatic event 18 years ago, and I have had many subsequent compounding traumatic events affect me in near contiguity. I ignored the problems until they became severe. I finally went to a psychologist today and was diagnosed with complex PTSD. I swear that when I got into the car after the appointment, this song came on the radio. I had a serious emotional breakdown when I heard this song because I didn't know how bad things were and how much help I needed until I finally went to the doc. This song really hit home. Thank you for making it.

I suffer from really bad anxiety, possible depression, and I am a high functioning autistic so I have issues with obsession and over fixating on things. Damn I wish I could like this comment 1000 times. I can relate to this so much it’s scary. It’s so bad that it leaves me thinking that on one hand, I actually think I need help and I’m actually concerned about my mental health, and on the other hand, it happens so much I wonder if I’m just being a pussy, breaking down over literally nothing because I can’t hold my own because I’m week. I’m just not sure what I am anymore. Everyone says I’m strong, but I just feel so weak all the time. I want to cry for help, but I’ve already tried that and no one believes me. I want to tell my school counselor but I'm afraid I'll get kicked out of school even though I'm not self harming or abusing substances, but you know, just and case. But, I feel like I need to tell someone, not directly school or family related, just someone who is a professional Doctor/therapist who my parents and family members can trust and believe. I just need someone's help.

I was at the hospital with my kids mother. She had just had brain surgery a week prior. The doctors and nurses busted in the room at 3 am. Said they had to do a spinal fluid collection, and it had to be now. It had been a harrowing experience for her , for all of us. But the doctors busted in the room and within minutes we were in another room and they were trying to collect spinal fluid. As you can imagine. It was fun for her at all. I opened my phone , and the last song I had listened to , was a Papa Roach song. ( Last resort ) . I played that song over and over and over for how ever long they took to get what they needed from the spine. Ever since then , my love for Papa Roach has been cemented in my brain and I'll always remember that song and how it helped her thru a sh&$#y thing. Thanks to Papa Roach for being amazing

THIS IS SO GOOD. AWESOME BAND (PAPA ROACH) + AWESOME ACTOR (HENRY EAGLESON as the bunny) + AWESOME DIRECTOR (Darren Craig director for Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, Lil' Jon, Slipknot, Big Sean, Ke$ha...etc) = AMAZING VIDEO!!!! It seems like some people are not getting the symbolism of how a guy in a bunny suit represents how anyone could feel like such an outcast and alone. This video is very deep and meaningful when you stop to really think about it from an artist perspective. The bunny suit itself could represent addiction, a broken heart, any situation that makes us feel different and trapped. I think when people really look deeply they might also realize that they too are trapped in a bunny suit.
