I actually created my own dragon sculpture after binge watching your videos for a while....I am not entirely satisfied with it, but I think for my first paper mache things it turned out really well. I had some massive issues with my glue, it did not stick properly on cloth, and the paper mache itself was really hard to put into place...it was really not the easiest. But thank you for making those videos! I love to watch them!

Paper Crow same the paper kept falling off tho every time I painted it
@Gourmetpapermache
@Gourmetpapermache 5 жыл бұрын
@@indoyt1402 I don't paint any paper. After sculpting with the paper mache parts, I add a "skin" of cloth (old bed sheets) and white glue. The glue is all purpose Elmer's or PVA or wood glue. Painting directly on paper mache with water based paint will undermine the mache. The paper will get wet and the paste will dissolve. That is what was happening to you I would guess.

@@sheilahill7469 You are very kind Sheila. It's okay. I'm not bothered by the thumbs down at all. The internet is a strange place. When I don't like something I just click out. But that's me. Some people get mad because the time-lapse is too fast (even though you can watch it at slower speeds using the settings in the lower right hand of the video). But I have such an overwhelmingly good response, I'm very happy. Take care Dan

When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I remember seeing a big beautiful papier-mâché dragon on a college campus. I remember my mother telling me it was for a play that they were advertising. Watching you create this dragon brought back to that memory from nearly 60 years ago. You obviously have a passion for the subject. I like the addition of resin horns. 😎
