I do get excited about simple things, but it's all a part of the fun in going through the totes. I hesitate to throw out numbers on what profit could be made, as you can look up an item on the eBay app and then when you look on a computer it provides different results. We like to show that most units aren't filled with safes, gold, thousands of dollars of merchandise, etc. Lots of work but occasionally with the reward of a really neat item! (Or poor racoon bones!)

Hey, I remember 1985 very well! I had mono that winter! My dad had had a heart attack about the same time and had to be flown to a hospital about 2 hours away, as that was the closest cardiologist. Anyway, my grandmother came and stayed with me since I was too sick to take care of myself. Every day she listened to, "Dial-a-trade" on our AM radio. It was a show where anyone could call in and say what they had to sell or trade, or, what they were looking for, then give their phone number and what town they were in. Can you imagine such a thing now? I'd never give that info out, live, on the air! That show drove me crazy at the time, but I look back on that time fondly now, having my grandmother stay with me. I would NOT want mono again, lol.!

The storage unit fun continues, hurray! I was puzzled by the card board sign reading "The river that runs between fathers and sons" and with the design of a bridge and a fish 2:28 - Does that point to strong family bond between father and son through fishing? There was so much fishing gear in that unit …🐠🧔👦🐟 (just my vivid imagination) I'm so glad there are more videos to come about this storage unit quartett! it is so exciting. Cheers, Gabriele - Berlin

The sign looks to have been made by whoever owned the unit. Fishing & hunting was their thing, as we could clearly see especially with the previous units. I'll have another video or two out from this unit. Don't want to put out any spoilers on what we find!

I just had the idea to google the line and bingo: "the river that runs between fathers and sons." appears several times in the lyrics of Between Fathers and Sons by singer Waylon Jennings. It talks about the feelings connected with letting your children go and make their own experiences. Maybe you will find a CD of Jennings in the storage unit! Now back to sleep. I shouldn't be awake at 4.30 in the morning … 😴.

Love your excitement on the Mickey Mantle (or Mickay Mantell 😃) baseball. Pretty nice finds on the pocket knives, especially the Swiss officer knives, if they are genuine (tons of counterfeits from China). The NH "Old Man on the Mountain" box is a stunner, bummer that this fantastic monument doesn´t exist anymore. Seems that the previous owners of this inventory travelled a lot. Naturally I wished it was Yellowstone since that is my favorite place and finding an older souvenir box like that but Yellowstone themed would have been great! I would have mentioned Yellowstone if it would have been something like the Statue of Liberty, Mt. Rushmore, basically any historic travel spot here in the States.

Always have to joke about finding a signed baseball or signed baseball card! Perhaps one day it won't be a joke & I'll actually find one! Wouldn't that be something! The Swiss Army knives are all authentic and will either be listed online (depending on condition) or sold at the flea market. Guess I'll be receiving an education in pocketknives from this unit! The Republic of China bottle was for sake, thanks to Google lens for helping to identify it!

I enjoy watching your program entertaining and I really like your personality. It’s cute. I come from a Catholic family from long ago. He might say so. I just now call myself just a Christian person, but those crosses that you find every once in a while that are big and bulky they have storage inside of them. Try wearing rubber/surgical gloves under some gloves made for mechanics that aren’t too bulky. Keeps your hands warm dry and protected if you have to take the outer gloves off also. If I find a pair of gloves I like I buy quite a few pairs as they won’t make them anymore by the time I need more. 😉

Gloves...thin leather driving gloves with a natural fiber (wool) lining. Had a pair with cashmere lining once, snagged them at a church sale. Warmest gloves I ever owned and it took years to wear them out. Wore them for everything a Minnesota winter could throw at me. Look for driving gloves at places like TJmaxx or Marshalls to get best quality for price.
