Some sweaty speedrunning Papers, Please protips for checkpoint enthusiasts: - In the early game, there's no real benefit to interrogating people; as soon as you find a discrepancy, even a minor one, you can just deny and you'll get paid - Detaining is slow, the extra reward is bad and you don't even start getting it until later on, so it's almost always better to just deny - Contradictory IDs are always completely different, so there's no need to inspect them too carefully - To save money, you can alternate between skipping food and skipping heat each day, the family will be fine

Watching the replay, you can see that despite not familiar with the game mechanics and money management, Rissa was really showing her attention to details and making very few mistakes. Starting from zero knowledge and juggling a stream chat, she picked it up really fast. I don't think I've ever seen someone with so few citations in this game (her stream did catch a few but more often the chat messages just lead her in circles). But, as the game was designed for, it made that first run a snowballing disaster lmao. Sorry family, food is a luxury for people who understand the pay mechanics.

I hope you try again without solely depending on a guide. The confusion and struggle as the plot progresses is part of the intrigue for this game. As far as i know, everyone loses multiple times, and it really fun to see people experience the story on their own.

This was a journey and a half because I thought she was gonna get one of the good endings or something of that nature...... Only to have her be in jail again lol. I'm sorry but there is something super ironic about her going to jail again as a bad ending and is 1 of 20 endings. I do wonder how the other endings are gonna be like but it's definitely apparent that we are going to be needing a guide but aside from that, I very much enjoyed your play through this game. It was indeed a lot of fun and great job with the Happy Birthday for the jail bird whose birthday is today. Great job as always Nerissa!
