Unlike many early Black/Prrog Metal bands Paradise Lost never stayed in one place. They always experimented with their formula and played around with a wide range of sounds. Gotta get back into them. It’s been years.

gregor is the guitarrist, he is not technical but no one makes guitars talk to you like this guy does. NO ONE. He goes under your skin and goes straight to your brain.

@@BaldHeadedMETAL No problem They have alot of good stuff. No hope in Sight is another good one by them in my opinion. Some other songs by other bands you might like Opeth- Bleak Katatonia-Lethean Insomnium- While we Sleep

Another classic song from Paradise Lost, best metal band for me. This one is a masterpiece. Another classic would be True Belief..o good song to start discovering Paradise Lost with. There are tons of great songs by them. Maybe the most underrated band of all times. They have been around since 1988...so for 33 years.

great band. earlier death metal, then pioneers of death doom & gothic metal. serious, melodic, deep, dark. for sure a genrebuilding band. good choice. do more from them.

not true mate. Paradise Lost formed in 1988 but first album came out in 1990 so they have been around for 33 years

Pretty much all their songs are about self-destructive behavior, depression, bad thoughts and bad feelings.

The only album i listened to from them up and down is symbol of life which is very different from this. But i guess they sing about the darker parts of our lives....

@@BaldHeadedMETAL Great album as well, but their top two albums of theirs are Draconian Times and Icon. I would love for you to have a whole album reaction for one of the albums I've mentioned. :-) Best of what gothic metal has to offer.
