Hi Tranquilo and thank you for all your informative videos. I have been enjoying them and simultaneously noting important aspects to be aware of. Which actual countries have, or will be instigating new leaving taxes? I have oly found some taxes for the very wealthy? I have been told that iIt is a standard part of tax law, in many countries, for many years, that there is a potential tax on moving out of a country, and taking assets with you, that you have recently made a profit on. It's nothing new or unusual and does not constitute govts. attempting to stop people from leaving their countries for 'safe havens'. Who does this currently affect?

Hi Liz, you are correct. There are regulations in place that may tax your assets as you exit the country. I have in mind a few rules planned (Netherlands, France, Canada, ...) regarding taxation if you live but i need to check them. Overall, one can witness a trend to prevent Western folks from leaving the West. It's done through several actions: getting you scared (problem of safety in country A, B, ...), dragging on administrative processes or changing them (apostilles is a great example), taxation when leaving, making it harder for you to sell your property (France is a great example), ...

Good video! But why Paraguay over Argentina or Chile?

We would need a good hour to discuss this topic and many videos in KZbin try to address this question. I would say that, based on the variables i was considering, Paraguay scored higher than Argentina and Chile. Now, i do think that a Paraguay / Argentina strategy where you spend some months a year in Argentina could actually be a great strategy. One of the folks in my network spend a few months a year in Mendoza to avoid the hottest months. What do you think?
