"For all the air that's in your lungs For all the joy that is to come For all the things that you're alive to feel Just let the pain remind you hearts can heal" - whenever I hear those lyrics I get goosebumps and tear up. I am physically disabled (in a wheelchair) and have been plagued by a pretty serious mental/emotional disability. I tried killing myself and I am so so so so so glad I didn't succeed. I met the woman I am meant to be with for the rest of my days..the pain I use to feel reminded me not only that my wounds could heal, but I can finally let myself feel happiness again.

Oh, how were you to know? [Chorus] And I I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before And I I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before [Verse 2] Love happens all the time To people who aren't kind And heroes who are blind Expecting perfect scripted movie scenes Who wants an awkward silent mystery? [Pre-Chorus] How were you to know? Well, how were you to know-oh-oh? I don't understand why younger people are surprised when we (dads :) like songs like this. Being older doesn't mean we are clueless about the music, quite the opposite. :) It is not like we hate everything of nowadays by default, It just has to be this good to move us. Balads? I have loved them since Everly brothers or The Beatles. Harmonies? Add Beach boys, Mamas and the papas, Byrds, Eagles.... Lyrics? I don't even know where to start. Dylan maybe...It goes on and on. And the list is quite long and distinguished before we get to Paramore and Joy. Peace.
@aprendizfeliz60696 жыл бұрын

I think it's because of where Paramore started off as honestly try hard, commercialized punk / emo where everything was overly simplistic and " I'm edgy. " and very " one note " So they keep that " Emo band " start in their mind and remember that time period and having a dad for example be into their " emo band " ( even if they are past that era for some years now ) is surprising and a little odd because they have a way of looking at it than just a rock band. The back of their mind still sees them as " That band who was born from the emo phase. " Like if you were into another band, let's just say Florence + the Machine.You can't pigeon hole them in a box. No one sounds like them, they blend genres and are really versatile and artsy. They were doing things other people weren't. ( Other people in say Indie might do things that compliment their sound but, can't replicate it. ) So there is no " This is a ____ band for / targeted at ____ people. " ( Especially given they're inspired and make nods to Fleetwood Mac, Patti Smith, Kate Bush but still bring a lot of fresh youth and new take to classic art-rock. )

Guys, before you start bullshitting, you should get informed. Hayley is a big friend and fan of Joy, and, for the Deluxe version she decided WITH THE REST OF THE BAND that she would re record the vocals with Joy and put it into the Deluxe Edition of the album. Paramore is still a band, this is their first collab and it's awesome, I don't get why people give hate to this, this is a band trying to do their best for their fans, they make what they want, in the genre they want with who they want. EDIT: Some people said Taylor was the one inviting her, and yeah that's true, but Hayley already said she is real good friends with her! :P

This song always reminds me of my best friend. Our sophomore year of high school she dated a guy who said and did so many terrible things to her that she went from being someone who loved life and was super confident and happy to someone who was suicidal and thought she was worthless. It killed me to see how much this guy had broke her. Every time she cried, I cried with her. It broke my heart that I couldn't take the pain away from her. This song explains exactly how I felt during that time.

Being a decade old fan from 2004, growing up, listening to Paramore had a great influence on my life. I had always tried spreading their musical talents to others but they had always given a deaf ear. Im glad to see people have know recognized them as being one of the top Musical artists.

I am so proud of Paramore and all of the things that they have accomplished. Paramore's music is beautiful and I love them. This version of Hate to See Your Heart Break ft. Joy Williams is a beautiful addition to Paramore. I love the rawness and heartfelt sound of this one, you can feel the emotion and the nostalgia that this song has. Hayley and the band have come a long way and they will continue to go far. I'm So honored to call myself a Paramore fan, I've been one since I was around 6 and I'll continue to be. ❤

Idk I feel like tbh I just learn something each day that makes me a little sadder. But I never let it get me down. I have friends who I love spending time with. I have a huge family that loves me. I have 4 adorable dogs. So what if bad stuff is happening? I'm glad I'm aware of the bad yet immune to being overly sad. And I mean brain sad, not heart sad.

"Hate To See Your Heart Break" There is not a single word in the whole world That could describe the hurt The dullest knife just sawing back and forth And ripping through the softest skin there ever was How were you to know? Oh, how were you to know? And I, I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before And I, I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before Love happens all the time To people who aren't kind And heroes who are blind Expecting perfect scripted movie scenes Who wants an awkward silent mystery? How were you to know? Well, how were you to know-oh-oh? And I, I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before And I, I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before For all the air that's in your lungs For all the joy that is to come For all the things that you're alive to feel Just let the pain remind you hearts can heal Oh, how were you to know? (How were you to know?) Oh, how were you to know? And I, I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before And I, I hate to see your heart break I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close But I've been there before

Someday in the future, when I'm long gone, I hope my wife and my daughters get to read my comments here. My hearing's no longer that good to understand the lyrics but at least I hear the chorus well enough to know that this is my song for them --- for all those moments you each cried and I didn't know how to reach your hearts and help you heal. Know that I felt your pain. If only I knew how to take your heartbreaks away. I love you all very much, Bigi, Tintin, and Mandy.

There, is not a single word, 这个世上 in the whole world 没有哪个词语 They could describe the hurt 足以形容这种痛苦 The dullest knife just sawing back and forth 就像是最钝的刀来回锯着 And ripping through the softest skin there ever was 将最柔软的肌肤撕出道口子 How were you to know? 可你又怎会知道? Well, how were you to know? 你又怎能体会? And I.. 可我... I hate to see your heart break 我不愿看到你心碎 I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close 不愿看到你合上双眼时黯淡下去的眼神 But I've been there before 但我也曾这样心碎过 And I.. 而我... Well, how were you to know-oh-oh? 你又怎能理解我的感受? And I.. 而我... I hate to see your heart break 我不忍目睹你心碎 I hate to see your eyes get darker as they close 我不忍目睹你闭上双眼黯然神伤 But I've been there before 但我也曾像你这般心伤 And I.. 可我...
