9 years... And still the best live performance I have ever listened to. Looking back how much has changed in a bad way in these last 9 years in the world, the feeling that this masterpiece gives me every time has remained as one of the best things I have. And again looking back at my 21 years old self, good job boy, you had a great music taste.

This sounds just like the audio version, but just enhanced and better. Imagine being so fucking good that your live version is better than your studio. It just feels absolutely insane to me. Also, this song already makes me feel not alone in this world, but with the crowd, it really shows that there are thousands- millions of people that are in the same boat as me.

I just want to share my experience with this song, in hopes that someone who needs it comes across it: I first heard this song when I was in university, failing a class. While waiting for my final grade to come out, I bawled my eyes out to this song. It was on loop for about three days because I didn’t know what else to do to keep me sane. I passed the course. In the in-betweens, I would find myself going back to this song whenever a big stressor came my way. It sounded like home - it sounded like a second chance, like hope. Now, I’m in medical school and I’ve been having really bad battles to deal with. I almost quit in my first year. This song saved me. I haven’t been feeling okay mentally with everything that’s been going on recently. I’m listening to it now (coronavirus time) and the mere sound of the guitar reminded me that I went through so many things (and almost-failures) just to get to where I am now. It’s giving me so much strength to continue, no matter how bad it’s looking for me. This song really means so much to me and I’d like to thank Paramore for bringing it to life. I know my hardships won’t end anytime soon, but it’s great consolation to know that I have this song to run to when I’m in need of a good cry/release. To anyone out there who’s reading this, *keep going, and trust in your spark.*

Paramore Lyrics "Last Hope" I don't even know myself at all I thought I would be happy by now The more I try to push it I realize Gotta let go of control Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen So let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing Every night I try my best to dream Tomorrow makes it better Then I wake up to the cold reality And not a thing is changed But it will happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing And the salt in my wounds isn't burning any more than it used to It's not that I don't feel the pain, it's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore And the blood in these veins isn't pumping any less than it ever has And that's the hope I have, the only thing I know that's keeping me alive Alive Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going (So if I let go of control now, I can be strong) And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going (So if I keep my eyes closed, with the blind hope) And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing
People say how this Paramore song is good to help with depression, but try EVERY Paramore song. That's why Paramore has always been my favorite band.

I was 13 when this song came out. I was in bed because I had a surgery on my legs cos I was born with a problem on both legs. That year (and a half, the surgeon went bad and had to be repeated) where very hard for me in which I barely left my house. I didnt receive any visits from any "friend" and only my family accompanied me. In the middle of loneliness I found this song on KZbin. The lyrics touched me when I readed them... i cried a lot. It was like i had the feeling that these lyrics was written for me. It was the extra support that i needed. I started listening to more of Paramore. It was incredible. Each song in some way touched my heart and made me feel better, either by hope, joy and much more feelings. What I want to say is that Paramore have changed my way of figth and overcome with that situation. Maybe I would be such a very different person now... Thanks you paramore, I love you. You saved me. The person that im now exist because of you. You will always have a place in my heart. This song and this version helped me stay alive for so long. It always reminded me when I was 17. I snuck out of the house and ran into an empty field and all I did was stare at the stars crying and praying for freedom. I felt so free that night. The smallest of hopes but it kept me going. Just a spark! I love this song can't believe I haven't listened to it in a year or more. 🥰 It means so much to me still because you always need to remember that spark to keep going.

My best friend was killed two months ago, and it's easy to be so much in shock you're in denial of what happened or in denial that you should feel pain, but pain just kind of explodes when you suppress it. To me, this song is about grieving and not be afraid to "let it happen" or to feel pain. You can't be afraid of hurting. At least that's how I relate to it right now.

lyric paramore - last hope I don't even know myself at all I thought I would be happy by now The more I try to push it I realize Gotta let go of control Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen So let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing Every night I try my best to dream Tomorrow makes it better Then I wake up to the cold reality And not a thing is changed But it will happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing And the salt in my wounds Isn't burning any more than it used to It's not that I don't feel the pain It's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore And the blood in these veins Isn't pumping any less than it ever has And that's the hope I have The only thing I know that's keeping me alive, alive Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going (So if I let go of control now, I can be strong) And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going (So if I keep my eyes closed, with the blind hope) And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing Ah, ah, ah Ah, ah, ah Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh

They do it every time man Every time Every time they do it to me [Hook Adreena Mills & DMX] I gotta make it out and move quickly Can't allow the past to restrict me Bet this time around they won't skip me I am the last hope, (The Champ!) Won't hesitate not even for a second The hustle has become an obsession I'm on the frontlines with my weapon I am the last hope [Verse 1: DMX] Damn, I went through it again After telling everybody I wouldn't do it again I kinda feel like I let my people down (yup) But to get them right, I got's to pick myself up (come on) When I heard this beat and hook, it was so raw (uhh) Looked in the mirror, didn't like what I saw, (uhh) All I could say was: ahh man shit gotta change (forreal!) Either get it right or take one to the brain (blam!) But y'all know the pain that I went through daily, (woooh) Tryna stay sane through the rain, y'all hear me I'm slippin', fallin', can't get up But this time I'm outta control, I don't give a fuck! For the thugs!, I'm the last hope for the team (come on!) I'm the reason why some niggas, gotta hope and a dream (come on!) These cats know what's good, I am the hood (Aii) I ain't hoping that they don't, I wish a nigga would (come on!) [Hook] [Verse 2: DMX] I gotts to do it for me, or do it for them, (yeah) I ain't playing with this shit, Im'ma do it to win Know I can do it again, (come on) cause I did it before With little to no effort, and y'all niggas knew the score (for real) First album dropped in May, second in December Over platinum in one year like, y'all don't remember, (come on) Only nigga who's first 5 albums debuted at number 1 And you wonder why I call you son (my son) I just begun, to get started, with the hardest part of it all Is to climb a slippery wall and, still don't fall Break down and call up to God, when it gets to hard I know you ain't gonn' let me go now!!(please) You brought me too far Showed me I was as a star, all my life I know it, all it right, before I, call it a night I'mma thank you for it all, the blessings and the curses And I hope you listening, there's a lesson in the verses Yeah [Hook] [Outro: DMX] Does it bother me? Yeah off course it bothers me Cause it's not who I am, I'm not you know, the person the media portrays me to be, ya mean?

I discovered this live version years ago and I can't listen to the studio one anymore. The way Hayley connects with the audience is genuine and heartfelt. This song embodies all the struggles of depression and loss and all the traumas we have lived through because life can be so unfair sometimes and I can't explain how, of all of Paramore's songs, this one hits me but it sure helps me to keep going on and on. Have a beautiful life people and keep having hope in a better future.

I came back to watch this again. It felt appropriate given last night's news. My best friend and I have been the biggest Paramore fans for so many years. We got the tattoos, know every lyric and relate their songs to everything in our lives. She jokingly has always referred to me as "the Jeremy to her Hayley". If you didn't know, last night Jeremy left the band. That doesn't change anything for me. He's still my favorite musician and a big brother-like figure for me. I'm excited to see what he does next (I know he's super into making beats which I can get behind 100%). The same goes for Paramore, I'll be a fan as long as they're around. Actually, I'll be a fan forever. Eventually, Paramore will be over, but their songs will always live on and belong to the people they mean the most to. Thank you Jeremy, thank you Paramore.

When this song came out, I was living in an awful situation. I was still living at home and being abused physically and emotionally by the person who was supposed to care for me above anyone else in the world. I truly felt hopeless, but this music got me through some of the darkest times imaginable. I got to share this story with Hayley, and by coincidence or design, the first time they played this song was in my city, and she made direct eye contact with me through most of the song. I'm typing this right now on the 7th anniversary of the day I left that toxic environment. I made myself homeless to escape it, and since then, it has been a massive struggle. I've had to unlearn a lot of the toxicity that was pumped into me for the first 20 years of my life. I've had to unlearn the limitations that were placed on me by the people who were supposed to foster my growth. I haven't gotten there fully, but I'm typing this from my apartment where I live alone, while on a break from my job, and just 7 years ago, both of those things seemed like impossibilities for me. Most importantly, I know that this is only the beginning, and that things will only get better for me from here. If you are also out there listening to this song, wondering if it'll ever get better for you, please believe that it will.

Jamie -- I'm sad to hear about everything you've been through. There are some very challenging times ahead because we are living Biblical prophecy and it is extremely serious. Please know that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is real and loves you more than you can imagine. He is infinitely more than just a spark to keep you going. He is the true light of the world. So many are lost in darkness because they do not know Him or how much He loves them. You are doing a great job of encouraging others with the strength and determination you have found. This makes me think you are definitely someone to whom God gave an amazing heart.

Hayley, This song means a lot. In so many ways. Your mother and I loved her music before we met. After we met, very shortly, we fell in love. Shortly after, you were.. here. So many aspects of this songs content play into and lead up to your existence. There was no hesitation in “Letting you happen”. We will never have any regrets. You are perfect. Perfect beyond our most extreme expectations. This song tells a story for so many people, but mostly for us. People get hurt. You will go through things you feel cannot be healed. They can, and amazing outcomes are possible! Just look at you, Hayley! You’re absolutely perfect! We named you after this singer. You’re going to be a great person. We will sacrifice everything to make it so. We Love You More Than Anything.

I sat in my car crying and listening to this song because I was with a mentally abusive person and loved him so I was too afraid to let him go but after listening to this song I don't know why but I stopped crying and got my butt out of my car and finally ended it with my bf of 3 years. Thank you, I found someone better for me because of you Paramore. Thank you

Cassandra Tee you're not the only one, and I'd like to say, that it was a bold move of you to walk away and I'm sure it has inspired a few of us to follow suit if we're ever in a similar situation, myself included. Keep up that happiness and stay strong :]

I don't even know myself at all I thought I would be happy by now The more I try to push it, I realize Gotta let go of control Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen So let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing Every night I try my best to dream Tomorrow makes it better Then I wake up to the cold reality And not a thing is changed But it will happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing And the salt in my wounds Isn't burning any more than it used to It's not that I don't feel the pain It's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore And the blood in these veins Isn't pumping any less than it ever has And that's the hope I have The only thing I know that's keeping me alive Alive Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen Gotta let it happen It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going (So if I let go of control now, I can be strong) And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing It's just a spark But it's enough to keep me going (So if I keep my eyes closed, with the blind hope) And when it's dark out, no one's around It keeps glowing Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah Ah-ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh

I went to the monumentour and when this song came on, not a lot of people knew the words. But you best believe I was screaming them along and crying. Because this song had already meant so much to me.

that explains why not many people cheered when hayley said 'the next song is called last hope'

Max Martinez ME TOO! I literally ran to the front of the venue (it was outdoors) and i was screaming it at the top of my lungs. people were looking at me all crazy lol I was with my 2 cousins and our moms. my mom started dying laughing saying "thats my girl this is her song!" +Hannah Bass It's great, but it's not raw audio. It's been produced just like any studio recording.

Fact is she has an amazing voice. She doesnt even need audotune or any kind of editing to her voice, unlike many other artists

The sound of her hums at the end melts me every time ❤️ One of my favourite live performances. The way she speaks to the audience and the lyrics, so uplifting. The control in her voice is insane. In absolute awe 🤎

6 years later and this song is still my go to. All you really do need is a spark, that spark for me is Paramore.
