Local fixed wing pilot here, I fly around the old Rittenhouse field all the time. It's cool to see you exploring our backyard here in the Valley, flying (and jumping from) places I know so well after watching your NJ adventures over the last few years. And dude... Church Music IPA is the best! Hope you're surviving the heat. Just remember, we suffer through these hellish few months so we can enjoy beautiful weather the other 8 months of the year! 😂 Maybe we'll meet some day.

@7:40, the cement blocks are used by UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters for sling load training. Although 4045 lbs is heavy, the UH-60L/M/V models can carry 9,000 lbs (if they have strong engines and under the right conditions i.e. temperature, humidity, winds). When you are flying over that old airfield, look out for helicopters training there.

Sorry to hear about the situation with the driveway. I had the exact same thing happen to me once with a sheisty refrigerator repairman. His fix fell apart in two days. He answered my calls a couple of times and then proceeded to ghost me. But when I called him from my work number, he picked right up. NEVER made good on the repair. Be careful dealing with this guy. Make sure you read the contract. I also do concrete but it’s concrete restoration on high-rises. In my contracts it specifically states I’m not responsible for broken sprinkler lines, damage to landscaping, etc. It’s not gonna be cheap to take this guy to court. Probably cost more than just getting it fixed, but I understand doing it to prove a point.

I’ve seen it a million times, this is the result when folks pursue the lowest bid for a project. Unfortunately there’s an infinite amount of “companies” willing to do work for 1/2 the cost and then the project ends up having to be done from scratch again because of corner cutting. Take it as a lesson learned
@richardstever32424 ай бұрын
Never heard the contractors point of view.
@TuckerGott4 ай бұрын
It actually wasn't the lowest bid. He was higher than other estimates I received. He had done work in the neighborhood (which is how I found his info) and was the most responsive to messages. The lesson learned would be to validate his LLC and contractor license. But I will be pursing every means I have to make him pay.

You are freeken awesome dude and I really love your content. I am 50 years old and just got my PPG license about 1 month ago after trying for about 10 years to get it done. It really sucks A@#$. You guys are really privileged not to have to do all these things. Any away I really love your channel and how you present everything. I have not come across anyone else doing such a awesome job as you. I really love your content and get so jealous when you do giveaways of all that amazing equipment on your channel. I have a H&E 200cc motor that I bought second hand and flying a 2013 APCO lift EZ large wing also second hand. Just wanted to share. Hope you get this message and find it interesting. Just wanted to make you aware of how privileged you all are there in the United States so enjoy your freedom. PS. The counties paint H on these highways to designate it as a landing for EMS helicopters. The first responders will bring the patient to the "H" where the helicopter will meet them. There are "Hs" all over the place out there. They also do it in other states that have large areas but a helicopter can't land due to the terrain or the underbrush.

Totally get the contractor issue… Duke Power was digging a power line along the front of my yard. They broke my water line right at the meter on my side. Said it was my responsibility to have it fixed. I told them I wasn’t the one digging. They called the water people and they all argued over who was going to fix it and finally the water guys fixed my pipe for me. Turns out even though Duke called 811 that the water people didn’t mark my meter. They kind of ate that one.

If you have a news channel that covers your area, you can tell them about it and if they are interested, they will put you on TV and reach out to the 'contractor' for free. At least that is what news outlets do here, which I guess you know since you did live out here. Every single time the news puts the bad guys on TV they immediately fix the issue. Which is sad because people supposed to do the right thing without being shamed on TV.
