You get free Paramount Plus if you already get Paramount Plus. There, still clear as mud! I'm guessing that means our price will go down? I found it confusing when they got rid of Showtime and the emails I received on it...and in the end, it seems like they took care of it in spite of telling me I had to do something... So I guess "we'll see"!

I hope the premium cable channels stick around. Sometimes I don't feel like spending time looking for something to watch on an app and just want to check out what's airing, maybe something i wouldn't have sought out otherwise.

If you’re somewhere with an iPad/iPhone and the TV only has Chromecast, try casting through the streaming app itself. This worked for me with a Hyatt TV. Casting like I do to my AppleTV box didn’t work, but casting through the Netflix app did.

If cable tv would do better pricing like streamers...they could hold on to some of their customers. They were warned for years that people were tired of paying for things they didn't want. I'm not sure they've learned anything. Technically, cable tv is much more reliable than streaming. You plug it in to your tv and your done. No modem, no router, no streaming device and no internet provider with problems. I'd go back to cable if they'd fix the packaging and get rid of contracts. When we have a big internet outage people will regret getting rid of their wired service. All this duplication on streaming platforms is ridiculous.

Ya know, it was never easy for cable. All the money they spent to lay fiber, having to bid for service for a whole city. Then having to pay per sub to the channel, then ESPN wanted > $1 per base customer, later > $1 per sub for every espn channel. They are stuck in a dead and dying state by law. I'm so glad though. I rarely stream. Sitting on a couch is such a waste of life. If I want to watch "Network TV" MASH is on all the time somewhere, or some other classic show. Writing is dead.

Yes, that is what I also see. Cable TV is too expensive. I dropped Cable TV 5-6 years ago and was paying 280 dollars with one premium channel. It is usually not channel content but all the fees and if you have multiple DVRs, etc. They also keep dropping good channels. great comment.

Regarding the Panasonic tvs have Fire tv os …I just hope that they work better than the Insignia tvs with Fire tv os cause when I tell you those TVs SUCK , I am not exaggerating not ONE little bit! P.s. Ty Luke for all you do. Been following the channel for years and was bewildered when you disappeared but finally figured out you were gone. Phillip? ( I think that was his name) was nice but very boring even though he did improve a bit as time went on but he still did was a bit too monotone for me I did watch as much during that time and was pleasantly surprised when you appeared again. I dropped all my premium streaming services and just have Amazon Prime because I also buy merchandize on Amazon. There are several FREE streaming services that I have links to. Plus there is allot of good content on Regular You Tube to entertain me daily. I do have an OTA antenna for local channels and that is free so far - just the cost of an Antenna. I do see the costs always going up on just belonging to any internet service to get on to do whatever. We shall see where all this headed price wise as time goes on. Thanks for your video.

I don’t see the Cinemax channel lasting. Max got CNN, Peacock has some MSNBC videos, and I think it will get the full channel eventually. Tubi will probably get Fox News since it’s the same company.

They should have taken the Amazon deal. They are not going to get anything close to the fees from runs. Padres needs a 50 dollar loan million to meet payroll. Because of the lost rsn revenue which they will never get back. A lot of other teams will have to cut payroll.

Luke: Have your guy Roger check whether the Sinclair ATSC 3.0 music channel is going to be over radio and not TV. Tyler the Antennaman had a video not too long ago on his website about ATSC 3.0/nextgen radio broadcasts, looked pretty promising for more & better radio program delivery.

Yes i would subacribe to a service through the cable company, but they can't seem to get the price right. Last weekend i was looking at options. If i selected anything the price of internet went to full price then add whatever service and I was like nope. The other thing i noticed was that they were charging full price for some services i could get cheaper elsewhere. No sports add on option without cable package. Also was a no deal.

FWIW: Back in the 1980s-1990s ITV was shown on the local PBS stations right before the MacNeill/Lerher New Hour (yeah, I'm old!). It was a good view of news from the British perspective after watching MacNeill & Lerher give the USA view of it. We need more of that 'centrist' view on the TV/streaming/cable these days.

If you subscribe to Showtime live channels, you can use the Paramount+ streaming service for no extra cost (normally $12/mo., the plan with no ads & Showtime content. There are 2 plan types with the Paramount+ streaming service: “Paramount+ Essential” which is $6, and “Paramount+ with Showtime” which is $12. The cable TV channels are changing names from: “Showtime” to “Paramount+ with Showtime”, which is causing confusion.

I have showtime on Xfinity and if I want Paramount plus I have to pay more it doesn't come free. I can't discontinue Showtime because it's bundled on my Cable. Why do you say it's free it's not free if someone wants to add Paramount plus on top of their Showtime. Not only was this combination very confusing your video certainly made me even more confused. A clarification and an extended video that pertains to this very issue would be helpful. Cable providers keep you tied in as i cannot discontinue showtime. Unless I change my overall package. Xfinity did a horrible job explaining the transition. But it's clear I will not be getting Paramount plus on top of my existing Showtime. I can access my Showtime through Paramount plus but I don't get Paramount plus. That's my understanding of it

Unfortunately right now they're not putting money into shows for cable channels, they're putting it into shows for streaming channels. There's also been too much switching of cable channels from specialty channels carrying themed shows such as westerns, music videos or SF to ones carrying generic common shows.

Considering how biased far too many of those stations are, I'd rather see regulations that prevent them from lying rather than eliminating them completely. Far too many people in this country are surprisingly stupid, far too many are totally gullible, and far too many don't care as long as it feeds their hate. At the end of the day, these companies are free to spread their agendas just as much as anyone else so long as they don't violate laws. Viewers are never forced to watch any of them. You suggest that people are moving away from their content, but the numbers show that Paramount's Pluto TV alone has 80 million monthly active users, which is the highest number among the dedicated FAST services. There's even talk of Paramount merging with Warner.

They have to have a agenda to make money. Its actually law. If a company is traded on the stock market they have to try to make money for the shareholders. If they do something that is against making money or running the customer off push an agenda that is a violation of law and in the future a new administration May charge against them and arrest them. Haven't watched a Royals game since they went to Bally. I won't watch them if they go to yet another pay situation. My 89 year old father has been a loyal viewer for decades and he hasn't watched them either. Greedy little b*****ds that don't give a rat's patootie about fans. As for Sinclair, they are a horrible company and have literally taken over most of the airwaves, skating by the rules that say they can't. They are uber "conservative" and literally provide their stations with scripts. I don't care if they're free...I won't have anything to do with them. I care about what they do not.
