You have given me a new way to look at it. To see it was a survival tool. And in that its not a thing to feel shame over. . To see it no longer serves . Your channel is so helpful , helps me have so much more compassion for myself . Thank you

I still put myself in quite a few troublesome situations with other people because of these paranoid thoughts and out of this constant feeling of threat and fear of being humiliated, so I might just lash out at some people every now and then and it'll look like my reaction was disproportionate in relation to the cause. I also tend to view a lot of women as narcissistic. I just wanted an easy way out of it.

The fear if being humiliated is a big one. You may be interested in reading this article: childrenofnarcissists.org.uk/triggers-and-triggering/ Take care.

What if someones unrealistic romantic thoughts about a person that doesnt like them back. Fantacising etc. Could they be delusions or a result of overthinking and emotional dependency?
@childrenofnarcissists7 ай бұрын
The unrealistic thoughts could be for many reasons. Maybe a safe way to like a person without feeling like we are going to be hurt or engulfed by them. Relationships are very hard in many ways for people from dysfunctional backgrounds. This video may be useful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6eapmd8aZ5oqLs Take care.

I really don’t like the way these definitions are worded by the medical system. In this world you should be paranoid because a lot of bad shit is going on. And I’m not overly paranoid but The wording makes you think somethings wrong with you instead of what’s really going on in the world. Then a person lets their guard down and Bam.
