Two of the best scenes I've noticed in this film are; when Mrs Park talks to someone about the rain that controlled all the dust and gave a good weather that day and mr Kim was deeply affected by the rain the same night. How a natural phenomenon affects the rich and the poor in entirely opposite ways. Second is the time when the former servant's husband hit Kim's son with the stone and both the blood and honey blend together.

ഒരുപാട് ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട സിനിമയാണ്. ഒരു സോഷ്യൽ റെലെവൻസ് ഉള്ള ടോപ്പിക്ക് നല്ല ത്രില്ലെർ മൂഡിൽ തന്നെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ത്രില്ല്. പിന്നെ ഇതിൽ 3 തലങ്ങളുള്ള സൊസൈറ്റിയെ കാണിച്ചപോലെ തോന്നി. ഏറ്റവും മുകളിലത്തെ നിലയിൽ പണവും പ്രതാപവും ഉള്ള വലിയ കുടുംബം. അതിന്റെ താഴെ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് ജീവിക്കുന്ന 4 പേരടങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു ഇടനിലയ്ക്കുള്ള മറ്റൊരു കുടുംബം. പിന്നെ ഏറ്റവും താഴെ തട്ടിൽ അതിനേക്കാൾ വേദനിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ചെറിയ ഫാമിലിയെ കൂടി സിനിമയിൽ കാണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എല്ലാവരും അവരുടെ താഴെയുള്ളവരെ അടിച്ചമർത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. (ഇനി പറയുന്നത് spoiler ആണ് ) ഒരു സീനിൽ വീട്ടുജോലിക്കാരിയോട് അവിടുത്തെ സ്ത്രീ പറയുന്നുണ്ട് ഇറച്ചി വെച്ച് ഒരു വിഭവം ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ, എന്നാൽ വീട്ടുജോലിക്കാരിക്ക് അത് ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ അറിയില്ല എന്ന് പറയുന്നുമുണ്ട്. കാരണം അത് വില കൂടിയതും സമ്പന്നരുടെ വീട്ടിൽ മാത്രം വാങ്ങിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഒരിനം ഇറച്ചിയാണ്. അതുവെച്ചു വിഭവം ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ അറിയില്ല എന്ന് പറയുന്നതിലൂടെ ഇടനിലക്കാരുടെ സമൂഹത്തിലെ നിസ്സഹായാവസ്ഥയും സംവിധായകൻ വരച്ചുകാട്ടുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരുപാടു hidden details ഒളിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് സിനിമയിൽ. തീർച്ചയായും കണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ട പടം എന്ന് ഒറ്റവാക്കിൽ പറയാം.

Bong Jhoon Ho's Parasite is Poetic in every sense just like his other movies. He deserved all the 4 Oscars that he recieved. ഓരോ shots ഓരോ frame ഉം ആളുകളെ attract ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ സിനിമയിൽ montage use ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് വളരെ brilliant ആയിട്ടാണ്. ആ വേലക്കാരിയെ അവിടെ നിന്നു തുരത്താനായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുന്ന plan ഉം അതിന്റെ execution ഉം screen ൽ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹം 5 min കൊണ്ട് 60 shots ആണ് use ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ shots ൽ എല്ലാം തന്നെ താങ്കൾ നേരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞ ketchup സീൻ പോലെ അനേകം foreshadowing ഉൾപ്പെട്ടതാണ്. A brilliant movie and one of the best in Korean Film and probably in World Cinema.

As the film progresses, we are strongly reminded of the difference between rich and poor class in terms of space, light, air, food, wardrobe etc But my favorite divide surfaced the moment the story mentioned the ‘smell’ divide...my olfactory senses tingled and it stayed on whenever the Kim family was shown. Its really unbelievable how the director achieved it...I just could feel the movie even with my nose!! It is this mention of the unwashable stink that bursts the bubble and brings on the rage of Kim patriarch in the climax. Also the background score and symmetric frames were a feast for the senses. Thanks Vivek n Vrinda for bringing out a platform for such discussions.Keep up the good work!

Parasite ത്രില്ലെടിപ്പിച്ചു ചിരിപ്പിച്ചു ചിന്തിപ്പിച്ചു മനസ്സിലേക്ക് ഒരു പുഴ പോലെ മെല്ലെ മെല്ലെ ഒഴുകി വന്ന സിനിമ. മികച്ച അഭിനയങ്ങൾ, ഒന്നിനൊന്നു മികച്ച സിനിമട്ടോഗ്രാഫി, ഒരുപാട് പറയാനുള്ളത് ഒന്നും പറയാതെ പറഞ്ഞ തിരക്കഥയും സിനിമക്ക് മാറ്റേകുന്നു. സിനിമക്ക് നൽകിയ പേര് സിനിമയുടെ ആത്മാവാകുന്നത് ചില സിനിമകളിൽ മാത്രമാണ് കാണാൻ കഴിയാറുള്ളത്,ഇവിടെ അത്തരത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു കഥപശ്ചാത്തലത്തെ പറയുമ്പോൾ അതിനു 100 ശതമാനം നീതി പുലർത്തുന്ന പേര് ചില സീനുകൾ പ്രെഡിക്റ്റബിൾ ആയിരുന്നു അതിനേക്കാൾ പ്രെഡിക്ട് ചെയ്യാത്ത പല സംഭവങ്ങൾ 9.25/10

താങ്കളുടെ കഴിഞ്ഞാഴ്ചത്തെ വ്ലോഗ്‌ കണ്ട്‌ , ആദ്യമായി കാണാനായി ഡൗൺലോഡ്‌ ചെയ്ത പടമാണു പാരാസൈറ്റ്‌. പക്ഷെ ജോലിത്തിരക്കിൽ കാണാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല . രണ്ട്‌ ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞു ഡ്യൂട്ടിക്കിടയിലാണു പാരാസിറ്റ്‌ നു നാലു ഓസ്കാർ കിട്ടി എന്ന ന്യൂസ്‌ കണ്ടത്‌.സത്യം പറഞ്ഞാൽ നേരത്തേ കാണാഞ്ഞതിൽ വിഷമം തോന്നി. അന്നത്തെ ഡ്യൂട്ടി കഴിഞ്ഞു വന്ന് സിനിമ മുഴുവൻ കണ്ട്‌ തീർത്തപ്പോഴാണാ വിഷമം മാറിയത്‌. ഞെട്ടിപ്പോയി... . കണ്ട ശേഷം വേറെ കുറെ റിവ്യൂ വായിച്ചെങ്കിലും , താങ്കളുടെ വിശകലനം പോലെ നന്നായി തോന്നിയില്ല. ഈ സിനിമയെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയതിനു വളരെ നന്ദി. ഒരു സംശയമുണ്ട്‌, അവസാനം സമ്മാനമായി ലഭിച്ച ആ കല്ലുമായി ആ പയ്യൻ നടക്കുന്നത്‌ കാണിക്കുന്നതെന്താണു ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്‌‌ ?

ഈ മൂവീ കണ്ടതിനു ശേഷം സാറിന്റെ റിവ്യൂനു വേണ്ടി കാത്തിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കാത്തിരുന്നത് വെറുതെ ആയില്ല ഒരുപാട് താങ്ക്യൂ. ഇനി ഒന്നൂടെ കാണേണ്ടി വരും! ഈ മൂവീ കണ്ട് കഴിഞ്ഞു ഉണ്ടായ ഷോക്ക് മാറാൻ മണിക്കൂറുകൾ എടുത്തു. ഈ മൂവിയിൽ എന്നെ ഏറ്റവും ടച്ച്‌ ചെയ്ത സീൻ ഏതാണ് എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചാൽ, ' ക്ലൈമാക്സിനോടു അടുക്കുന്ന സമയം കിം കുടുംബത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന പ്രളയത്തിൽ എല്ലാം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട കിംന്റെ മകൾ ക്ലോസെറ്റിന്റെ മുകളിൽ കയറി ഇരുന്നു സിഗരറ്റ് വലിക്കുന്ന സീൻ ആണ്. നമ്മളും ലൈഫിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒക്കെ തന്നെയാണ്, എല്ലാം തകർന്നു എന്ത് ചെയ്യണം എന്നറിയാതെ ചിലപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ കുഞ്ഞ് കുഞ്ഞു ഇഷ്ട്ടങ്ങളുടെ മറവ് പറ്റി, കണ്മുൻപിൽ ഉള്ള ഭീകരമായ റിയാലിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഓടി ഒളിക്കുന്നവരാണ്. ഭാഷ ദേശ സംസ്കാര വെത്യാസങ്ങൾ നില നിൽക്കെ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഇടങ്ങളിൽ ഉള്ള മനുഷ്യരുമായി ഈ മൂവീക്ക് നല്ല രീതിയിൽ സംവദിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. ഡയറക്ടർ ബോങ് ജൂൺ ഹൊ ആന്റ് ടീമിനു എല്ലാ അഭിനന്ദങ്ങളും!
