Plus of course it also says the conflict between poor and poorer . The stone is yet another parasite ( which is hope which can never come true). It also explains that sun light part ( which the poorer lack, Sun light refers to the richness( the golden color)). The son in the end says he loves the sunlighted yard which they lack now. The father believed that somehow they can get rid of the smell( the smell of basement). But in the end when the rich guy takes the key from the basement guy he had almost vomited. Then the father realizes that they cannot get rid of that smell. Which lead him to kill the rich guy. Also

In this film there are so many elements which build up to the hate of the driver.. 1) the owner says he cannot stand the smell of the driver (which represents the smell of the poor people) 2) the owner and his wife roleplays the poor people in the couch while the driver is hiding under the table... 3) the wife of the owner opens the window of the car due to the smell of the driver.. 4)while in the car the wife says "it's a blessing that it rained yesterday so there will be no dust during the party".. while the driver had lost everything due to the rain... 5) when drivers daughter get stabbed the owner yells at the driver to take his son to the hospital... 6) last, the owner cannot stand the smell of "the man from basement" even though he respects the owner more than anything in his life... All this incidents stated that " how much you respect the rich they never cared about the poor". All this built-up to anger which led the driver to stab the owner.....
