This was a tournament that Djokovic said he had his eye on for the full year but after going titleless to this point it seemed he may not be able to pull it off, especially after undergoing surgery prior to Wimbledon. Djokovic spends 80% of the year in Serbia, the rest in tournaments and in Monaco. in fact, he spends very little time in Monaco. Yep. Djokovic barely spends any time in Monaco since 2020/21. He built a manshion in Pavlovce, between Ruma and Irig, close to Fruška Gora which is his main residence now. He likes the lake there and wanted to bring life back to that region and it's working wonders.

Novak moved back to Belgrade a few years ago because he & Jelena wanted the kids to go to Serbian schools.
