I can see a big difference between your videos and others. So many of the others are just hawking product, telling us why we need more speeds, or what ever they think will feed the KZbin formula for more followers. Yours are (as they always have been) showing the passion for cycling that we all feel. They are among the best and always so creative and interesting. Keep up the great work.

Hearing an englisman pronounce French like a native is so nice (and unusual).

I'm pretty sure he's French, his English has (although nearly indistinguishable) an unmistakable French twang at times (I'm also French/English and sound the same). I may be wrong!

@@LS-gk4zc Possibly, his French also has a slight twang 😂 probably lived in too many places for too long!

Yeah, no way he's a Frenchman. Definitely a Brit. The longer he spoke, the slower his original English accent came back. One can tell though he's been in France a while

Great bike cafe! I’ve never been to Paris but this is the kind of place I would like to visit if I went (perhaps more than some of the touristy places you always see)! Kudos to the owners for creating such a cool shop! Thanks for sharing this place on your video.

What a great visit you had at a very cool shop! I had a dream of opening a shop that was part cafe and part bike shop probably 25 years ago but life took a different path for me. The food gets people in the door and the bikes capture their imagination and interest. It's great to see that my idea from the past actually happened in Paris. Hope I get to. visit it someday!

Keep in mind that prices in Paris - especially for second hand bikes- are just insane! Travel outside Paris and you'll find the same bikes in any associative bike workshop for at least 1/3rd of the prices in Paris.

as a broke student in Paris i went to Le Havre to buy a used VELHANO road bike, steel COLUMBUS frame and fork, old probably from 00s SHIMANO Ultegra crankset and calipers - all for 140 euros (+40 for train both ways), still much better what can be bought locally, for the same price in Paris i can get a 70-s old rusty piece of scrap max

Wow. Thanks for showing us alt cycling stuff in Paris - did you bring along your Bromptons? Train TGV from Girona to Paris ? Looks like you are settling down in Europe. You should stop off in Perpignan at some point - not too far from Girona on the train.

You can go ride Bois de Boulogne while you're there. Some fun little gravel tracks close into Paris to explore. Also, Komoot has way better content in France than in the US. Well worth signing up and browsing the routes.

Your alt bike shop visits in the Europe constantly uncovers talent that demonstrates the benefits of the EU system. Keep going Russ and Laura and show people around the world how to do things the right way. These principles can be transferred to other industries.

If the bike side runs out of grease, they could always go to the kitchen side and borrow some butter. (hopefully not the other way around).

This boutique is not in Paris. It is in "le Pré saint Gervais, a suburb, East of Paris. I am an avid cyclist but I personally would avoid leaving my bike on the street in this kind of neighborhoods. Now wonder it is called "stolen" garage.
