Parking light issue. 2005 International truck

Parking light issue. 2005 International truck 4300 DT466. I got a call about this truck. I said I will take a look. found out everything else has a relay or fuse. but for this circuit, it goes through a MOSFET in the main chassis computer. I was hope that it was still able to power a relay. it was. see next video for proof of fix. in my head it made sense to unplug the CPU from harness. I shut it down and plug her back In without the load of the lights and "voila" it gives enough current to actuate a automotive relay. see next video.

Hey George I just figured my issue out . Turn out one of the rear lights plug in had come disconnected and was grounding out on the housing . Damm thanks for your inspiration to dig into all this !

Got a 2008, head lights wont turn off always. In other words when we press the off direction on the panel switch, it may turn off or may not. I have changed the display panel as well as the switch but it hasn't helped. When I say display panel I'm speaking the whole panel that display mph/fuel/mileage etc. Any advise???

Last thing to check would be wires but I think your computer is close to needing replacement. Try swapping the $500ish computer that links to head lights Or bypass the circuit with a more widely used switch/relay/fused circuit.

I drove a 2005 7300 for a while at work, driver door made the same noise! these trucks are such garbage

how can I install dashboard lights in a international 9200....

easiest way after market with separate control. otherwise you have to work for it. Will need to trace out the wires that used to go there, maybe do what i did for a relay setup, or setup an arduino to sense and activate the lights you hook up. if you go original wires but use a different source path is basically what i did. if you want to Skype (video call) then let me know and we can work out a fair cheap price for an hr kinda thing for some advice. My question is, how do you want to go about it? original bulbs and wires? led strip stuck somewhere close to what you need? strategically placed black light and fluorescent paint? too many to list really....

Where are u located? I have an 07 international that has an issue where the parking lights come on by themselves at the most random times.

@@13stanleycup if the price is right, sure. But for most on KZbin, that's a no cause they trying to save money. I'm about 85 miless away from southgate right now it's about a 2hr drive with traffic varying that. Just saying to go look at your problem is 4hrs of just driving plus fuel. That's costs people near you won't have. If your still interested, just let me know. Sorry for late reply, been helping a friend/training + work on the multiple cars. Valve heads, radiator swap, wire troubleshooting, etc.
