To play devil's advocate here: in Connecticut, tags have not been required on a plate for about a dozen years or so. However, the expiration date IS printed on your registration, thus making it easier for you to monitor, especially since here a passing grade on your emissions is required to renew your registration, as well as the police to check. So personally, seeing a plate with a seriously out of date tag would not raise any bells/warnings to me.

@@GeorgieB1965 For you that may be the case but most states still require current year stickers. Do you have to display a sticker for having a current emissions inspection? @@arturocamaney9235 stealing cars? Legally towing a vehicle that is on private property and owner of said property and/or code compliance wants it removed and has stickered the vehicle properly or is illegally parked in a handicap or fire lane or inhibiting the safe flow of traffic is not theft. It's a service that is leagal and unfortunately very much required due to the large percentage of people who have no common sense or feel entitled to do anything they want. For the like all other tow truck drivers or companies being like that you are claiming then explain how niether I nor the company I work for tow any vehicles that are not 100% vehicle owner requested due to broken down or accident ect. We don't do anything with illegally parked vehicles. The closest to that we have ever done is a handful of abandoned vehicles that were legally stickered owner sent notification that it was going to get towed and then towed held for the required time and then notification that we were putting it up for auction sent to the registered owner and then auctioned after the waiting period was up without a response from the owner to come and pay the fees and reclaim thier vehicle
@arturocamaney92352 жыл бұрын
@@claytoncoolidge992 Cars are private property too, but someone committing an infraction doesn't give you the right to steal it in response. And sounds like you're better than this tow truck driver if you only tow with the owner's permission.
@claytoncoolidge9922 жыл бұрын
@@arturocamaney9235 lol great that you understand what private property is. Now when you are operating it on public streets there's rules for that. When you get your license and registration for the vehicle you are also agreeing to the laws and consequences of them. So no it's not stealing when you get your car picked up for whatever reason it is getting locked up. Where you are not understanding how that all works is your looking at the impound as something that is being done against you. It's not. When you get a vehicle impounded it's no different than you being arrested. In this situation it's your car being arrested. Inorder to be able to get it out of jail the same thing as it would be for you it has to be made to legal insured registration and any fines costs and fees to be paid. Just like jail charges you 35$+ a day for every day you are locked up it's the same thing for the vehicle. Once this is done your allowed to get it back. Or you can give the vehicle up and get your stuff from it and not have to pay a lot of the fees and costs and depending on the vehicle it might make more sense to give it up get it stuff and buy another vehicle for not much more than the impound and costs and fees come out too. When you park on private property you have to abide by the rules of the property owner. If you violate those and you are properly warned in accordance to the laws and rules and you have failed to comply the property owner has every right to tow it at your expense. Don't be a Karen and think that you are not having to follow the rules and laws and your not going to have any reason for you to deal with your vehicle being impounded. But not even remotely possible to make it equate to stealing it lol but I have had a few vehicles impounded over the years for various reasons and it's not really a pleasant thing to go through. And I was not in agreement with it but I didn't have any one but myself to blame for not following the rules. Pure and simple man. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. All the cars towed were called in by the property owner and had stickers to comply or be towed and they chose to get it towed. The tow truck driver is just doing the job he's paid to do

Gosh after watching a couple of videos from you, it brought back flash backs of when I was in an apartment complex. We started to have problems with the front office because they wanted us to use both cars all the time. We had one dedicated parking spot close to the apartment and then a public area for parking. Since we only needed to drive one car, we drove the newer one the majority of the time. They had record of both cars at the office, but without talking to us they decided that to slap a big ol sticker that was basically glued on to the front driver side windshield making it impossible to drive. We ended up having to play musical parking spots for a few months before we moved out of there. They also tried to raise our rent by like $400 after the first 6 months. There are some really shady apartment complexes out there.
