MrErizid it doesn’t make sense even as a joke. She is in season 3 and 4. She wanted more money to come back, the writers killed her off to negociate her salary. She came back with a different name and different power right after. They even got a lame excuse like they didn’t know how to write her character anymore so they gave her a new one.

For me, the best fight in season 1. Matt hearing Nikki and Jessica using that information to trick him is so simple, yet so clever. It reminded me of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's fights, i wished Heroes's had more creative ones like this. The more I re-watch this series, the more I realize the writers didn't really know what to do with the "superpowers" part of the show, it's always so under-utilized. A shame really.

Having characters using their powers is expensive and with audiences dropping every season I guess there were serious budget cuts. However, the problem with the series for me is that the writers -and creator Tim Kring- didn't really know what to do with many characters after S1

Sometimes restrictions are good for creativity, some sci-fi shows proved that (the first seasons of Doctor Who comes to my mind). I know budget has always been a problem for tv shows but it shouldn't be an excuse. I can put up with bad special effects, not with boring and predictable action. I think everyone agrees that the kirby plaza fight at the end of season 1 sucks ass xD And the show's popularity was at an all-time high at the moment. I stand by my point, the writers weren't interested in the powers, they just wanted to write human drama with a different color paint.

Moniza literally every reference you google describes him as a mind reader and eventually he’s even able to control other people. Reading minds and hearing thoughts are literally the same thing. He can hear her lying in her head about Jessica’s where abouts. This was nothing more than a plot hole.

Because in every single step of the series the powers of the characters were inconsistent and constantly changing to adapt to a plot that can't be more predictable. That's Heroes for you.

In the beginning he could only hear what people were immediately thinking. As he got more experienced with the use of his powers, he was able to go deeper into their minds to read them, and even eventually be able to implant thoughts and control them. This is Parkman when he was new with his abilities, he eventually learns how to use them and discover new things about them.

@@MJX225 For every show you must have an equal opposing villian. Peter was the most powerful character in heroes and so he needed someone equally as powerful and Sylar fitted the bill nicely. What made me turn away from the show was when they stripped Peter of his powers but kept Sylar at full power. You do not strip the main character of their powers, you just create bigger threats. Imagine if the writers stripped superman off his powers. They also had so many plot holes like the Adam saying that the company have tried but could not kill him then Anglela comes along and tells Matt that the only way to kill him is to blow off his head not to mention you had Arthur who had the power to drain someone power. He basically drain Adam and turned him to dust. I know what you going to say but he was in a coma and in which I would reply true but he was in the coma six months before that start of season 1 because Angela poisoned him because he wanted to kill Nathan and Adam was in jail for fifty years.

@@accidentalmadness1708 Maybe they would have been. Much of what's wrong in standard television is that you have a core cast of characters you know are not going to die. Time and again they get thrown into these "Life Or Death" situations and time and again they escape. After a while - there is no drama - there is no suspense - you KNOW no one in the core cast of characters is going to die. Next episode they will again face "Life Or Death" situations and will escape from those too. That is one of the great things about the mini series shown on the Streaming Services. They could kill anyone at any time - and sometimes they do. You don't KNOW what's going to happen. .

I'm in season four and I know it's gonna end soon. Before this series I already believed in powers and conspiracies and man I really want to still believe there are people with habilities, obviously not like them but the evolution is real. I know it sounds crazy but sometimes my dreams becomes a reality. Before was, let's say 50 ramdons dreams and 2 became reality, now the chance of a dream becoming a reality is increasing. I love the fight but Matt in season one was not strong enough to take on Jessica. The only reason Jessica did not kill him at first was that she was intrigued that he could hear Nikki. Matt had to get close enough to hand cuff her and getting close to someone that strong is a death sentence, Jessica literally rips people apart. Yeah, he could read minds but Jessica is super strong and even if he could hear her thoughts a second before she attack and be able dodge her attack his bare fist would be useless against her since her muscle and bone would have to be very dense and strong in order to compensate for her be able to lift a car, so basically punching her would be like punching a wall. Even if he used a weapon such as a bar, baseball he does have enough strength to use the bat to do any damage. There a comic where Hulks travels 300 years to future and meets himself who is a tyrant. Long story short present hulk discover the truth about older hulk and that he is a tyrant and they get into a fight. Future Hulk picks up captain America shield and says that weapon is dangerous but they never needed to worry about it because captain America did not have the strength to wield it against them until now, so he throws the shield at present hulk so not only is the shield embedded in his stomach but sends him flying several feet in the air
