Bailey Lylyk What i personally have is not a fear of falling, but a fear of heights. If you don't know what i am talking about then you probably won't even understand this but: The fear of heights is just a weird feeling between your stomach and crotch which makes you flee and want to go away from high places, it's not the actual fear of hitting the ground, it is actually just being really high up, atleast that's how i experience it :D

In a weird way, parkour seems a lot like ballet. Muscle strength, and grace. It may be a little easier to do this sport if you're a big, muscle-bound person, but it won't guarantee you'll succeed. Also, I've noticed that men and women who do this develop almost the same muscle groups as ballet dancers. They develop a lean, loose-jointed flexibility and GRACE. Please don't yell at me!!! It's just an observer's thought.

I know it's silly to ask, but at what age did you start?
@bluealpaca8200
@bluealpaca8200 9 жыл бұрын
For all you 12 year olds and what not, you're pretty young and it is hard to build up enough muscle strength to do some of these things, so if you plan on attempting to do parkour expect to put a lot of time and effort into it and you may not reach your goals within a year or maybe even more! But don't stop trying. If you're house or school or local playground aren't very good places to train, try convince your parents to let you go explore your town or suburb, it may seem dangerous to go out alone but if you have the right knowledge you can fight those fears of exploring your area, you might find an old building complex that you can train at, or a really cool nature park, whatever you find remember where it is and maybe show your parents the area so rather than having to beg them to let you out you can just say "hey I'm going to (that place) for about an hour". This will largely help with any training if you have a great spot to do it at ^^

Doing this move isnt hard at all lol, if you search "parkour stockholm" and scroll down a bit there is a video of two rather skinny boys doing well good for their age parkouring, the hardest thing about this REALLY is the self confidence as it doesnt require very much strength to jump this length unless youre overweight.

@TappBrothers
@TappBrothers 12 жыл бұрын
For people who are first starting out we have found it easier and safer for them to perform a punching jump into the kong (feet together) than a split leg jump take off. Now once you get the form down and you are comfortable with the kong vault, then you want to start developing the split leg take off. The split leg will give you more speed and power for the kong vault but it can be a little confusing and hard when you are first starting that's why we focus on just the punch (two leg) take off.

Just the fact that you want, to do parkour means you can. Im not an expert, but after a year now, i can do vaults, wall runs, rolls and shit like that. You dont need to be that person who goes to the gym every day in like 4 hours, but as long as you can pull Your own weight, you're good. Most important, DONT give up!

don't worry.if u really want to do parkour,u can do it even with 30 minutes of practice a day.but u will progress really really slowly.if u dedicate atleast one hour a day,u should be doing fine with what u want to master.when i first watched a wall run tutorial,i thought i would never be able to do it.then every day during recess at school,my friends and i kept practicing wall runs and precisions etc as i told them about parkour,when i would do a wall run,i barely went high,but now,i can climb 8-12ft walls as if it's a chlid's play.never give up and keep progressing.if u r a girl that doesn't mean u can't practice.forget people who laugh at you,they laugh just because they can't do things which u can.stay positive and keep practising and pregressing

thanks heaps, you guys actually helped me heaps with doing the kong vault, it's actually not that hard, once i have this mastered i'm going to learn the dive kong, thanks again after completing the kong i felt really happy felt like i could do any vault because the fear of failing the kong really held me back in parkour, and to me that was the scariest and hardest vault to conquer. thanks

I'm 13, and I want to be able to do these things. But where I live, there are no nearby gyms (not that I'm old enough to go in anyway) and sometimes going to the park every day, or every other day can be hard. I REALLY set my heart to learning, but what can I use to practice vaults at home?

People will always judge what they don't understand. If you let their judgement get in the way of what YOU want as a person, you will regret it in your later years. I urge you to cast away your fears, dispel them, kill them... just GET RID OF THEM and you will ALSO be able to get rid of that anxious feeling whenever anyone looks at you. Be strong, you can do it.

Fingertip raises in the "girl push up position" ??? That a bit of stupid stereotype cause I've never done one of those in my life. I'm a girl and I do normal push-ups, how's it a girl push-up if your instructing men to do it. Sorry but you need to use better wording, I almost stopped watching the video because of that ahah. K ? I don't want any comments back, just stop talking like males are the only people watching this ! /:

Indeed that is what they are known as, and for all I know I do think girls more often than not do these kinds of push ups when they are forced to do push-ups. At least at the age of 16 but maybe they get a lot stronger later in life. Butt hurt :D

Ihatemyusernamemore Exactly. That's what they are known as because in most school gym classes they let girls get away with those instead of traditional push ups.. Because most young girls have weak upper body strength. Just because OP is overly sensitive about common language doesn't mean anybody else needs to change to accommodate her, it's ironically insensitive and just looks selfish. If I was a girl watching it I'd be like "pfff I do real push ups, those are a joke" to myself and then kept watching.

same age as you bro, I've already been doing park-our before though. I think that 17 is the best age, because you have all the strength, there is no risk of stunting your growth, and you're old enough to take a fractured rib cage! If you're female you are lucky, cuz you have better mobility, flexibility, and agility, and are more mature at the age of 17 than males of your age.
